Rate This Band: Avenged Sevenfold.

9/10 one of my favorite bands, The rev was a fantastic drummer. Syn is a great guitarist, same with Zacky. Johnny is good on bass keeps rythem and stuff. M Shadows is an ok singer =/ not the best but ok.


EDIT: There also fantastic live, thats a big plus.

The guitarist (or guitarists, I don't know if it's just one dude) is really talented...But I can't really say the same for the band as a whole...I'm not a fan. 5/10 including a 4 point bonus for the guitar dude(s).spazzx625

2/10 for me sorry.

They don't tingle my bloodlust and their songs just blend into something rather bland. They are not aggro enough for me and their choruses give off the fact they are a very teenage oriented band who are out to preach your paper round money. The solo's, I've never been one for guitar solo's, where do they think they are taking me?

They are very radio friendly, I would say they are alternative pop music really.

i wouldn't rate them particularly high, but i do like them. i was just playing unholy confessions on guitar.

They're okay. I liked every single song on their City of Evil album. :D

For me they're average. Some songs I like, but not much stands out about them. Over time everything they've produced started to sound the same.

Personally, I feel that the Rev was the most talented person in the band. His drumming was technical and unique. Easily one of the most interesting technical drummers as he did more than sit there doing blast beats.

Oh and I feel Darkness Surrounding was one of his shining moments. The roll that starts up at like 1:34 is one of my al time favs, if not my fav.

It also needs to be remembered that amidst his insane drumming he let out some awesome backround vocal work. If you ask me he is a MUCH better screamer than Shadows.

No one cares about johnny, the Rev was an all around good funny guy and he was a good writer and music maker. Zacky is all about image i think. I still think he's a bad ass. 7/10 for him

Their an awesome band. I'm a huge fan of them. Though, some songs sound similar IMO, so that keeps me from giving them a perfect score. Nontheless, their vocalist is very good, their guitarists are very talented, and The Rev is one of my favorite drummers.

Boring, and I'm not a fan of these type of bands.

They're alright, if one of their songs comes on the radio I don't immediately turn it off.

Haven't listened to them much, so don't really have an opinion

5/10 at best. Their drummer was probably the best member of that band and he died so they don't have much going for them. Syn is not as good as people make him out to be. There areplenty better guitarists. All I think of when I see and hear them is a bunch of pretty boys trying to be badasses.

Their singer's voice is really annoying, and I think Killswitch Engage, while not being exactly similar, is a MUCH better band.
