Rate this band: Weezer

Yes, I know, it's all mainstream and everything mainstream is automatically bad, and look at me i'm so cool for hating mainstream stuff.

This may be just me, but I find to be better than a lot of mainstream bands out there, and I have a hard time calling them generic pop punk, when they pretty much helped to invent the genre. It's a bit like calling Die Hard a generic action movie.

So I'll give them a 9/10, because they're good, but not the best.

Now all you haters can have at it.

I'll give them a 2.5/10 because I think their band name is stupid.

Love Weezer. They started as kitchy alt with Undone and have become big hitters putting out album after album full of great songs. 8.5/10

4/10, I only like 'Beverly Hills' to be honest.

7/10 I suppose although it seems odd to rate bands. Unfortunately I've become less and less happy with Rivers stuff as the years have progressed but perhaps I'm just getting a tad grumpy as I age less and less gracefully. That first album is still my favorite even though the girl he was pining for at the time was soooooo not worth it in any way. Still... it was a dramatic leap from the hesher bands he was playing in right before Weezer was formed and I was rather surprised at how good it was when it initially came out.

6.5/10.

They are ok to listen to now and again. Buddy Holly was by far their best though.

7/10.....I don't mind Weezer. Enjoy some songs and since they don't annoy I won't penalize.

Their first 2 albums are great but they mainly suck after that, with the exception of Hash Pipe
