Lil' update.
I think the eyes look a lot less creepy now, yeah?
Ahhh, I'm taking these with a cell phone. So sorry for lack of quality. Not to sound conceded, but it does look better in real life. Just sayin' :p

Nice drawing and good to see you back.I thought you were trying to get banned with that last thread you made about insects.conistantYeaahh, people thought it was a suicide thread type thing. Honestly I was just bored out of my mind, and don't care that much for GS considering how many users here dislike me and think everything I do is for attention. But I do enjoy posting here and talking to a lot of you guys.
Thanks pal ;)If I'm the father of you I'd be touched. Good work man ;)

No, I had another account on GS in which I met tepni. Though I created another after a week or so 'cause I didn't like it.
You're Tepni's alt? =DLOXO7
Oh? What was your previous account name?
Great..more drawing threads from tepni.DeihjanOf course! I shall draw more often then.
Oh, I have a couple of 'dem myself. Not to get all Techie'nicle on ya, but I think the mods 'll limit a person to how many accounts they can have. No, I had another account on GS in which I met tepni. Though I created another after a week or so 'cause I didn't like it.

I wouldn't like my account either if it was banned
if my kid drew me a picture i'd be like "**** yeah" and love it, as i am sure that's what your dad will do, even if it sucks (as long as it doesn't suck too bad). your drawing doesn't suck but you're no van goh either
You're obviously very bad at detecting sarcasm. Might want to wish for a sarcasm detector for christmas...

Yes, because sarcasm is so easy to detect on the internet.
Weren't both of them being sarcastic?

You're obviously very bad at detecting sarcasm. Might want to wish for a sarcasm detector for christmas...ssj4_2004

Weren't both of them being sarcastic? What a Twist.
I was being sarcastic too

You're obviously very bad at detecting sarcasm. Might want to wish for a sarcasm detector for christmas... My bad, my bad. I thought he was saying "your drawing is great, I hope to see more drawing threads of yours in the future." Lol I guess I'm too positive of a thinker.Of course! I shall draw more often then.

I give it a generous 5/10 just because you're making an effort, the only problem is you're doing this all wrong. First of all if you want to make a copy of a photograph you should have used a grid. A grid makes drawing from a photograph much easier and the results can be dead-on accurate. Second of all you need to recognize the planes of the face and how the face is constructed in general. There are also a number of perspective and scaling issues. Don't be afraid to increase the contrast of your drawing. Put in your darkest darks and your lightest lights, then work on everything inbetween. Right now, you should focus on fixing the perspective and scaling issues, then go onto the shading and face structure. IF you're feeling bold and want to get an accurate drawing that is true to the photograph, restart using a grid.
Here's an example of the face planes I'm talking about:
Good luck!
^^ Those Andrew Loomis books are drawing bibles.
I think the only constructive criticism I can give is that you're using too much line and not focusing on the overall form. Still a fine effort.

OH boy. Practice makes perfect, huh? I haven't drawn a human face since a year or two ago I believe, you don't wanna know what my drawings looked like then. Thank you for all the tips! Unfortunately I am running out of time, and I do not have any grids, and I'd really need someone to sit down and have someone teach me how to do something like that. This was more of a spontaneous thing and I didn't think it'd turn out any good to show my dad in the first place, but now that I've gotten started I thought why not? But thank you, I wish I could learn how to do all that!

Sure, if you want a dull, impersonal and soulless drawing. Expressiveness>realism.

It's not about realism, it's about accuracy. Accuracy > inaccuracy.
I was expecting to slam the drawing, but I actually think it is very endearing and a very good job.
I hope I get something like that for XMAS some day from my children. I actually like the drawing better than the photo.
You should be proud of this. Great job!
You actually can draw eyes really well too (which is usually the thing that ruins a picture).
