This. I liked it alot but I feel the ending really falls flat...Pretty good movie, but there could have been more done with it.

As a fan of giant monster movies I give it a 2.5/5 it wasn't great but it wasn't too awful. The characters were lackluster, the monster was an interesting idea but in the end it was very been there done that. It tried to be too many other movies for it's own good and in the end that took a lot away from it for me..but I'd say it's worth watching for a time killer.
[QUOTE="lightleggy"]1/10 complete stupid borefest, not surprised...it was made by the guy who created lost...SilentSoprano
Please don't tell me you think LOST was a borefest...
Season 6 was a borefest for me, once I realized that the series had about zero chance of ending well.
Of course, in all fairness, I should have realized that a lot sooner. Possibly as soon as season 1.
i liked it but i'm a sucker for the whole faux reality shakycam thing.
it does not matter how bad they are, i even liked the zombie one but can't remember the name of it.
4/5. Good movie for the most part, there are a few parts that are ehhh but the main parts are great.
5/10, ruins an interesting concept with so many plot holes, ridiculous moments and terrible, annoying characters. The only reason I give it a 5 is because it does have some interesting or entertaining moments, but they are too few and far between. If you want to watch a good "actual footage" monster film then see The Troll Hunter.SaintLeonidasWow I have never heard of The Troll Hunter, maybe because it's Norwegian, but now I cannot wait to see it for myself. xD But on topic, I thought CloverField was very good, I'd give it a 7 maybe because it left waaay to many questions and I felt most of the movie was done too far away from the monster. It really needs a sequel.
As a avid Godzilla fan when I was a kid.. I thought this was a breath of fresh air for the Monster film genre.. I went in expecting really nothing, had not seen any previews and just went in expecting absolutely nothing.. And I was completely surprised of how good it really was.. I give a 4 out of 5 stars.... I loved the fact that the first 15 to 20 minutes seemed like a average day with a party, and than all hell breaks loose.. It felt realistic in that was what would happen in such situation.. sSubZerOoAh yes a G-fan! OT: 4/5 I really enjoyed the movie but I wish the would have went alittle more easy on the camera shaking.
You mean Quarantine?I didn't particularly like that one.Thought the characters were too stupid.i liked it but i'm a sucker for the whole faux reality shakycam thing.

You mean Quarantine?I didn't particularly like that one.Thought the characters were too stupid. I think he/she means Diary of the Dead, which wasn't very good honestly. :P But yeah, I really liked Cloverfield. But I think I'm in the minority when I say the first 20 minutes or so were awesome and completely necessary.i liked it but i'm a sucker for the whole faux reality shakycam thing.

I do. btw its dissapointing (but expected) to see that this movie gains positive recognition in OTrockerbikie
I can understand not liking LOST, but because it was "boring?" Hmmm...
It's called starting to watch it halfway through. I had to buy the first 2 season to understand it.I don't understand how that equates to it being boring...? And you should have known to start from the beginning. Who jumps straight into the middle of a TV series?EDIT: Nevermind you explained it. And lightleggy, I love how you get so mad when somebody asks a question and you think it is insulting your opinion  It's hilarious.

like I said, I get dissapointed when people just cant accept a different opinion, theres always got to be an excuse, it can never be "Oh maybe the guy didnt like it after all", oh no, it always has to be "the only acceptable reason if he didnt like it is that he never watched that thing or that he watched halfway or something"[QUOTE="SilentSoprano"]

Seriously, the last season was pretty bad. Especially the finale... The rest of the show was pretty damn good though.
I enjoyed the film and its idea of creating a Godzilla film from the point of view of the teeming masses suffering underfoot. The main thing I didn't like was just the monster design itself as I think they tried too hard to create something too different from traditional giant monsters and all I thought the little crab thingies were overused a bit. But overall I enjoyed the ride despite its rough execution. 7/10
lightleggy, the pole was impaled in her shoulder and it wasn't very thick. Easily survivable for hours.
so what? you know that movies make shoulder injuries look as if its like being bitten by a puppy..when its totally false...shoulder injuries are actually amongst the worst and most painful injuries because of all the nerves in the area, being impaled through the shoulder will most likely get you handicapped for like a week (that includes not even being able to walk without help) and no matter where you get hurt...theres always important veins going all over your body...if the pole lacerates one of those veins and its removed, you can say bye bye to your life because you'll bleed out in less than 5 minutes...its one of the reasons why doctors dont actually remove bullets/stuff inside of people until they are really sure that they can contain the bleeding. dont tell me "shoulder and leg injuries are nothing" because thats just movie crap...I wanna see you being impaled on the shoulder by one of those poles...even if its not very thick you will still be whimping like a little girllightleggy, the pole was impaled in her shoulder and it wasn't very thick. which words did I put into your mouth? you practically said "its just a pole impalement through your shoulder! nobody is going to be seriously injured by that!"You always seem to put words into peoples mouths. I'm just going to leave this one alone.
