Giving them a bad name eh? That is an opinion of course. While I would like to stay as neutral as possible in this thread, I will say that Glenn Beck is not half as bad as people make him out to be. In fact, not half as many people hate him as it may seem. It's just that the people who do are the most vocal. The fact that he gets so much hate thrown at him is a sign I believe. There's a reason why everyone disregards people such as Keith Olbermann and Karl Rove.

Now, I consider myself a mildly smart person with a good amount of common sense. I don't watch Beck on a regular basis, but i have watched his show before. I fail to see what makes him such a "psycho" or "nutjob." Glenn Beck tends to use history in most of his point making. And from what I've seen and researched, I haven't found anything to warrant half of the names he's given.

For the record, I'm not a hardcore conservative. I tend to be pretty critical of many right wing people such as Karl Rove and Rush limbaugh.

I thought it was pretty self-explanatory. If he was as much a liar and a wackjob as people make him out to be, everyone would largely disregard him. But that obviously isn't the case. The left uses every chance it gets to bad mouth and slander him. I think it's pretty apparent where I'm going with this.

But alas, I'm fighting a losing battle, especially on these boards. I digress.

Same here. His decline started a while before he made the switch over, but it was a mostly good show before then.

Then, in the next segment he critiqued one of Obama's advisors because he wanted people to boycott Beck. During that part he said they viewed him (Beck) as "the enemy", and seemed affronted by it.

Though the term was never used and he openly calls them the enemy, he deserves more respect? Honestly, there are inconsistencies within everything he says. I turned him on one day and he was dissing Teddy Roosevelt of all people. I immediately turned it off. Nobody who considers TR a terrible president deserves to have political influence in my opinion.

Ehh.. 6/10. He sometimes makes decent points, and his show is interesting. But he's just too much to take serious most of the time. I don't even know how much of his show is truth or not.. because he says some things that I haven't heard anywhere else. He's just too dramatic.
