In response to Raekwon and the other guy, when I mention 'gangsta', I'm referring to a specific style. I don't mean the actual clothes people wear in the ghetto. I'm referring to the clothes that douchebags wear because they want to look like they're from the ghetto. Anyway, the shoes aren't that ugly. I'd probably wear them if I were playing basketball, for instance. Otherwise, I'll tell you guys what my style is, for the record: I think I've outgrown the stereotypes, so I just generally wear the kind of trendy s*** that'll get you into a nice club.

I live in the ghetto and I see kids with clothes and shoes just like the ones posted at bus stops every day. I see them pouring out of highschools every day. These kids are poor. They live in crappy neighborhoods. Ghettos, if you will. And yet they spend more on clothes in a month than I do all year. How do I know? I've talked to some of them.

Yes, I agree. That is where the word Ghetto originated from, but it's used as a slang term nowdays..

It's not that bad. There's crack and heroin and known child molesters and man eating dogs and gunshots and whatnot, but really, I get by just fine. Sometimes it's entertaining watching a car get towed out of your neighbors house, or watching a guy fight his brother and girlfriend simultaneousy in his yard at 2 am.

Too bad, because that's the meaning the word has taken on these days. My grandmother and her family also had to escape from Poland in the forties, but you don't hear me complaining.

You compare that to anything that happened in Sierra Leone. Yes Sierra Leone was tragic, and it was an atrocity but maybe not quite on the same scale. I find it actually very offensive that your comparing the 2. The Holocaust is the biggest atrocity ever to occur and the mass murder of my family members can hardly be compared to Sierra leone.

11 Million people killed eclipses Sierra Leone

No, suffering is suffering. The Holocaust may have claimed more victims but people were hurt and killed in both Sierra Leone and Europe. It's offensive that you would imply that you should feel more pain than he just because of a number.

I never compared it I'm just saying that my family wasn't from nice places like America. I know about that Holocaust I actually went to school. I even met that one Henry Goldi guy and he signed my book "Ragdolls". Just because I stated a fact doesn't mean that I'm comparing it to anything like that.

Read "The Jungle" by Upton Sinclair and then tell me that everyone in America is living in a nice place. That's never been true and it never will be.

Lucky they escaped let me put it that way. My grandparents didn't, they went to Birkeneau. Stories I have heard are sickening.

Read "The Jungle" by Upton Sinclair and then tell me that everyone in America is living in a nice place. That's never been true and it never will be.

Ok...I could go through my life story of living in America but I really don't feel like I have to share that with you. Let's just say I am one of the last members of my family who survived it ok? Anyways I was saying anywhere in America is better than where either me, my brothers, my mom or my dad used to live.
