Here is the reason: Most, if not all of the running democrats are supporting government funding policies, such as poverty and healthcare, which will put a bunch of new taxes on you. Now the "end to poverty" thing shouldn't be promoted because if a democrat who intends to end poverty is selected as the next President he or she will be uselessly be putting a bunch of new taxes on YOU, and converting YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY and giving it to poor people without jobs who DON'T WORK and DON'T DESERVE IT. And of course, in the end poverty will never be conquered, so if you vote for a democrat, you're basically just throwing away your own money. Besides, don't you Americans realize that the End to Poverty government funding progam is simply a HUGE example of COMMUNISM in the free country of the United States?

How about screw both the major parties, because everyone is in some company/group's pocket. The Democrats want to rae your wallet (if you work) and the Republicans want to tell you how to live your personal life that they have no damn business being in. Vote 3rd party. Or not at all, I'm not gonna tell you what to do :P

And to reply to the last comment, depending on which side you vote for depends what sounds more favorable, shifting slowly to Facism or Communism. Either way, the two party system sucks.

I agree with you that a liberal president will do that, transfer money from the "rich" (which means anyone earning 75k or more a year) and giving that money to the poor and I believe that is the wrong way to do it. That is part of my reason for not voting democrat (though Lieberman doesn't seem that bad) and I feel they will be far too lax on security and rely on polls (like Clinton).

I think we elect a president because we trust their decisions, even if a choice is not popular amongst the populace if a president feels it is the right thing to do (war in Iraq) then they should do it. If they go based on popularity polls we'll end up in the crapper. It seems people who actually take these poles have a Utopian mindset.

Let the flaming begin!

Although the republicans might not be perfect (no one is) they are the bets ones to vote for, especially Mike Huckabee and Duncan Hunter. Both of them stand for what IS right, not for what they THINK is right.

Right on, man. Right now the economy is great and, on top of that, Bush has single-handedly balanced the national budget. If a Democrat is back in office, they will have to either raise taxes or just accumulate a huge and ridiculous national debt that they will just leave it to future administrations to figure out how to deal with. All Democrats do is spend, spend, spend and the next thing you know, the country will have 9 trillion dollars in national debt.

Some poor people do indeed deserve it. Not everyone who doesn't have health care is worthless. Just a thought. One good reason to support the Dems. though would be Bush. Persoally I'm neither Dem. or Republican as I think that 90% percent of each party is corrupt to it's core anyway. That said, I can't honestly say the Republicans have made a great showing as of late.

Europe is made of many smaller countries, you know? with a smaller population than we. They also don't have Pablo running across their borders or floating up onto South Beach begging for money.

I agree with some of your points; however, I don't want a republican who spends like a democrat as Bush has done. As far the current potential candidates go, few appeal to me wholeheartedly. The democrats are jokes, and the republicans are borderline idiots when domestic issues are concerned. I'm not thrilled about either party's candidates at this point. Will I vote? Yes, I will, but I'm not enthusiastic whatsoever about the candidates involved.... It's another year of voting for what's the best of what's available.

you are saying the exact opposite of what you should be saying. Think deeply about it for a second. Do you really want part of your hard earned money to be forcefully taken away from you and given to someone who doesn't deserve it, or would you rather give part of your hard earned money for a greater cause: To help out the army faithfully defending their country and trying their best to stop terrorism.

No, the job of a politician is to have a team of people write scripts, do polls, and w/e else it takes to make a candidate sound honest, when in fact, it all comes down to whoever pays them the most behind the scenes. You want to know where your candidate sits? Look at who donates the most to their party & their campaign.

I'm not being negative, I'm being a realist.

In the beginning he has a point. The economy is doing fantastic, the whole spending thing... well... Historically republicans spend very little and dems spend more. Now they both spend lots just on different things. If 9/11 had not occured I doubt Bush would have spent this much.

I'm no war expert, but I thought Bin Laden was in Afghanistan not Iraq... And didn't we already bring Saddam out of power? I bet there would be less attacks if we got out of their country and left them alone as opposed to being there, killing them.

Do you know how much money the US spends on the military? It's rediculous and not needed. And, not all poor people are poor because they're "lazy". A lot are, but not all. A good majority of poor people have mental conditions, or had a baby at a young age and couldn't go to school. So, I'd rather taxes go to spending on poverty and education. The military does not need $500+ billion of funding.

You really should watch the news more. It just came out how most of the fighters in Iraq are foreign fighters. I.E. they are not Iraqi. Bin Laden is believed to be on the borders of Pakistan (which is a massive mountain range).

Did you not just see we captured a high ranking insurgent in Iraq? Who admitted the Iraqi terrorist forces are small, most of it is made up of Syrians, Iranians, and Egyptians. If we leave Iraq a political vaccuum will occur and will probably leave Iraq worse than when Saddam was there. Then those insurgent fighters who are busy fighting our military will focus on blowing you, your parents, your family, and your friends up.

I partially agree with you. Bush isn't exactly the "best" republican out there, but you can't look back on memories. You have to keep moving forward and vtoe for the candidate who is doing the best thing for YOU and other people within US borders. NOT helping people who don't deserve help, or people from other countries unless it is a war case.

HulaDog, no one should think a certain way or say a certain thing.

It's all opinion. Poor people should receive help too, why don't they deserve it? Shouldn't we help out our fellow man? War doesn't help no one. Nothing good came out of Iraq.

Don't act like you know what's best for everyone, you don't.

Here we go, I bet you think the war on terror is a bumper sticker slogan. The attempted attacks in England? All propoganda right? 9/11? It was really a group of holy rebels trying to take down a zionist empire who is attacking their sacred religion. Bombings in Spain? A political statement by a group of Arab activists.

I don't care if another country hates us, Al Qaeda has killed people in our nation and England and Spain and other nations. I'm not going to make France happy and bend over backwards to understand why Bin Laden hates us, I want him caught and imprisoned (as to not become a martyr) and to pay for his crimes against humanity.

In my opinion, spending it wisely is helping out the less fortunate. I have lots of relatives in the ghetto who struggle to survive. They need all the help they can get. I used to live in the ghetto, it's not easy, it's not easy to get out either.

He is write. All of those poor people are just lazy. Every single one. If they would just get off of their behinds, maybe they could get into a situation where they don't have to work 60 to 80 hours a week just to support their families. And if they work really hard, they can become CEOs or investors and earn oodles of cash doing hardly anything at all. Now that's hard workin'.

alright, don't you guys understand that democrats spend way more money than they need to on unneeded stuff, where republicans spend way less money on stuff that might not be needed but would be extremely helpful to have something done about it? and don't you realize that the money that the government spends is tax money paid by us? It's our money!! So, you work, get your paycheck, and have to vote for a new president. In order to choose wisely, you have to figure out how you should spend your MONEY wisely.huladog123

WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT?!?!

Bush has spent HALF A TRILLION DOLLARS on a pointless war that has only allowed terrorist to become stronger.

Think about what else that money could have been spent on.

I think the root of the problem here is people's ignorant attitudes towards poverty.

Now that's hard workin'.Right-Wing_Tool

Lets hope you're kidding. Because if you are, (h5).

Here is the reason: Most, if not all of the running democrats are supporting government funding policies, such as poverty and healthcare, which will put a bunch of new taxes on you. Now the "end to poverty" thing shouldn't be promoted because if a democrat who intends to end poverty is selected as the next President he or she will be uselessly be putting a bunch of new taxes on YOU, and converting YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY and giving it to poor people without jobs who DON'T WORK and DON'T DESERVE IT.And of course, in the end poverty will never be conquered, so if you vote for a democrat, you're basically just throwing away your own money. Besides, don't you Americans realize that the End to Poverty government funding progam is simply a HUGE example of COMMUNISM in the free country of the United States?huladog123
Communism is not a always a bad thing, an uneven distribution of power is, and that has always been the fundamental flaw in every communist run state that has failed.

Hey lets vote bush in for a third term!!

not

I am voting for Barrack Obama should he get on the ticket.
I think it will be a little hard for republicans to get in office after the crushing blow they took last year and also how they are supporting a war most of us dont want.

Kcube

yeah, repulblicans took a major hit last year....but i don't understand the fanfare for obama...well, i'll say i don't understand the justified fanfare for obama. he is little more than a politician who made good with his american dream story. he has little experience as far as a politics goes (admitably as did JFK). he is imho a face of popularity. hopefully, the dems can bring a better candidate than he.

[QUOTE="NathanHawkins"]I agree with some of your points; however, I don't want a republican who spends like a democrat as Bush has done. It's another year of voting for what's the best of what's available.huladog123

I know, he is one of the worst presidents.
