I need newer stuff. I usually like industrial music but then again I do drift over to other stuff on occassion. Bands I like:
- Radiohead
- KMFDM
- Funker Vogt
- And One
Well...doesn't matter what the bands are...just give me something please.

I must say Lord_Daemon, when you choose to post here you make it count.
I have my moments although I always regret all the other billions of bands that are great that I forget to mention. Kudos on the Bukowski quote by the way. :D

Heh. Thanks, I love that guy.
Everyone should listen to the following
Fall of Troy, Gorillaz, Aesop Rock...idk, I can't think of any others right now...
As mentioned multiple times before, check out Nine Inch Nails especially the Downward Spiral album.
Anyways, heres my recommendations:
Mindless Self Indulgence (Mind you this is a love it or hate it band so you may not like it despite them being industrial)
Oomph (Great German industrial/rock/metal. Main inspiration of Rammstein. Their discography is quite varied so don't juge on only 1 song)
Static-X (Quality industrial metal)
Orgy (Get the Vapor Transmission album)
Rob Zombie (More industrial metal)
All I got for now sadly....

Well...I don't actually. I listened to a few of their songs and they get old pretty fast.
Were they from either Absolution or Black Holes and Revelations?
I know some of the stuff isn't what you were looking for specifically, but pick and chose. That's the fun of finding a new band, scrounging around all the crap to find a gem:
Agalloch, Ensiferum, Godspeed You Black Emperor, Therion, Wintersun, Amon Amarth, Diablo Swing Orchestra, Explosions in the sky, Electric Wizard, Atheist, King Crimson, Mahavishnu Orchestra, Camel, Orphaned land, Eluveitie, Wolfchant, Draconian, Akercocke, Apocalyptica, Devin Townsend, Dark Suns, In the woods..., Isis, strapping young lad, tiamat, Winter, empyrium, amorphis, wolves in the throne room, drudkh, alcest, anathema, swallow the sun, riverside, the morningside, fair to midland, rapture, blackfield, autumn, october tide, Cynic, Dark Tranquility, Daylight Dies, The Dear Hunter, Dredg, gojira, incubus, katatonia, muse, my dying bride, novembers doom, oceansize, opeth, porcupine tree, radiohead, Sculptured, 65 days of static, Earshot
One for the Road - IMO, greatest song ever!
Just listen to that one, but here are some others if you have the time -
On the Floor
Recovery
They're all brilliant songs, and they're not frickin death metal or any of that crazy stuff. Just good rock. Tell me what you think of them, guys!
If you like radiohead, you might like Sigur Ros' newer albums (Takk, Hvarf Heim).
Band of Horses and The National might also be worth checking out.
EDIT: Massive attack, Tricky, This will destroy you, Sofa surfers, The wrens, Dylan in the movies, Broadway project

Songs I listened to from them were: Starlight, Hysteria, Bliss, Time is Running Out, and Stockhom Syndrome. They were good, but like I said, gets old pretty fast.
