Yeah I like Rock/Alt/Metal, so any bands with that genre that you know tell me, I need some new music.

I'm not really a Megadeth fan... I listen to Peace Sells some, but that's about it. :P
(which, I guess, isn't surprising, since I'm not a big thrash metal fan lol)

i have their best of album. i have a macro that makes a text file of my entire library, you think i wrote that list out? year right. i think they have like 4 good songs ( dream on, sweet emotion, dude looks like a lady , that other one), other than that they are extremely overrated on the other hand queen has great ALBUMS. also even tho you dont listen to MegaDave much, its pretty easy to realize that he's way better than metallica.19 songs away from 500!
I am pissed because I am not finding any of Tool's songs. I have two of their songs already but thats not enough.

Ehh Discographies are alright, but I honestly don't recommend getting entire Discographies (if you're actually buying the music, that is) until you get stuff by a lot of bands. That's not to say you don't get all the good albums by a band, but if it's between getting, say, Back in Black (AC/DC) and St. Anger (Metallica) (and you for some reason feel the need to get St. Anger), get the former.

OT, the sooner you get out of the phase in your life when you download just single songs, the better, get full albums, shoot, get every album the band has ever done, getn the top songs and 30 second previewing songs on itunes to see if you like them, dosn't cut it.nimatoad2000I completely disagree. You never outgrow being able to make cd's filled with your favorite songs or filling your IPOD with just the songs you love. There are rarely albums out there that every song you enjoy.

Yes, TC, I strongly recommend against buying individual songs or greatest hits albums. If it means you have to wait another two weeks to hear one of your favorite songs by a band because you haven't picked up that album yet, just deal with it. It's completely worth it.

I actually very much disagree. There are very few albums I own where I do not enjoy every song. I've only actually removed one song from one album, the rest of the albums I listen all the way through.

On my current Ipod yes, I have went through about 5 Ipods in my life because of malfunctions, then I have to restart all over again with the music (For the most part).
It will take forever to name all of artists but basically my genre of music ranges from light rock to heavy Metal, I am not a huge fan of Harcore metal, but metal I don't mind.

Hey, I only have 230. >_> Anyways, TC, it's easier to recommend bands if you tell us what you like first. Just saying "Rock/alt/metal doesn't help at all, as there are thousands of bands in those catagories. And Nimatoad, what's wrong with buying one song? What if you only like one song from them (as I do with Thin Lizzy)?[QUOTE="chessmaster1989"]

why dont you backup your songs? or keep them on your hard drive. get an external even, they are cheap. loosing all your music jst because your ipod dies is a stupid thing. all my music ( 128 gigs) is on my ipod, my computer hard drive, and on my external hard drive . failsafe a failsafe with a failsafe.[QUOTE="tester962"][QUOTE="nimatoad2000"]OT, the sooner you get out of the phase in your life when you download just single songs, the better, get full albums, shoot, get every album the band has ever done, getn the top songs and 30 second previewing songs on itunes to see if you like them, dosn't cut it.nimatoad2000I completely disagree. That's what I am not trying to do, if I like an album I'll buy it, but if there is only a few songs I like from an artist I will get the ones I like. I have friends who are into the same type of music I am into, if I need an album I can borrow it and sinc it into my Ipod.
