Has anyone seen this movie, directed by John Woo.

It focuses on the battle of Chi Bi, or Red Cliff, a tremendous battle during the Romance era. If you've played Dynasty Warriors you know what it is.

Anyways, this movie has the highest budget ever spent on a Chinese made film and you can tell, absolutely stunning. If you don't mind subtitles and enjoy war movies you should check it out.

If you've seen it then please share a favorite moment or rate it or w.e

Yeah I highly enjoyed the film. Big fan of the Dynasty Warrior games and other media revolving around Three Kingdoms Period of China. The action sequences are great.

I didn't really pay attention to the voices as it was in mandarin. The music was very good and the plot is historical so yeah, it can't really be bad. It did grow stale at some points before the finale when they concentrated on far too much love story. IMO

Haven't seen it yet but it's in my Netflix queue. I believe there is an international version that is two parts long as opposed to the U.S. theatrical release which significantly shorter. I'll be watching the international version.

ahhh there's the problem, i watched it on netflix instant thru my xbox so no 2 parts. The theatrical version is, imo, the best war movie i've seen. I liked it more then 300 or gladiator or braveheart soooo yeah, idk. a 5 out 5

It's mediocre and long as hell. It was actually real cheesy at parts. 6/10 from me. With all those great actors in there it could have been alot better.

An interesting perspective. I was thinking about putting it on my to do list, but now I'm thinking twice.
