On the Apple site you can buy a refurished Ipod classic from them and save about $70 doing so..it comes in the box with everything and gets a new serial number, etc.

Has anyone done this and can testify to the condition of the Ipod they recieved and how well it worked?

Apple says it goes throught "stringent refurbishing standards" but idk how stringent it is

but it does get a 1 yr warranty

any tips, ect?

my friends have had their Ipods for a while and they haven't "broken down"...plus Ipod is the only thing to get if you want bigger space...everything else is super expensive...my 8gb Phillips mp3 is great but my stuff is overflowing on it....how would you consider a good apple product "broken"?
