I can hear it :|
I hate reggeaton, it sucks, i live in venezuela and this place...no all latin america is contaminated with that crap, always the same damn beat and the same sex lyrics. i wish i could cut my ears every time i listen to it
Because like rap and hip hop, some people just can't listen to anything else other than garbage.
That was NOT mean't to be offensive. I'm just giving my opinion based on what i've experienced.

Then you haven't experienced enough rap and hip hop. Hell, some producers have even worked with orchestras to make their music.
how can you tell that all reggaeton songs have the same beat. i'm very curious since i've heard rumors that it does.caliente_hot
i think its a stupid fad and it needs to die. its killing music (especially spanish music), and i'm tired of hearing the same exact beat over and over (ex: "beat + gunshot sound + motorcycle engine revving + orgy + sex + talking about yourself + resemblence to rap = one pissed off dominican)

Depends on who you listen to. Don Omar has that tango mixed with salsa and reggaeton.
Wisin y Yandel have that same beat in every song.
Rakim y Ken-y are like Magnate, both singers and reggaetoneros.
Ivy Queen has more of a girly type of beat.
Tan cansado estoy de reggaeton. :|
The only thing I like about reggaeton, is salsaton and Bachateo, but that isn't saying much. The worst the reggaeton industry has ever done was remaking a urban tribute to Héctor Lavoe. :|
I'm glad, the latin record of the year for 2007 was Juan Luis Guerra's "La Llave de Mi Corazon" instead of some reggaeton song.
well, i live in Mexico and here tht music is a P-L-A-G-U-E
i only like it cuz of the PEOPLE at the parties but yeah, all got the SAAAAME simple easy tone with "poetic" sex lyrics its like....
boring and stupid
still, all of them suck...Depends on who you listen to. Don Omar has that tango mixed with salsa and reggaeton.

Oh believe me I've listened to it enough. I've been living with it around me almost everyday. I know some artists actually innovate and make great rap and hip hop and even reggaeton songs, but MOST of them are too much of the same crap.

same here. I live in costa rica and i hate it, except for some goood dancing ;)
reggaeton sucks, its just a wanna be hip hop/rap but it doesn't even come close.-wii60-It's not a ripoff of hip-hop/rap. Most of the influence of the music comes from a blend of dancehall and traditional Latin rhythmns.
