i say you cant be christian if you believe whatever the hell and dont actually follow the religions rules and texts, you say you can.

then that is okay. i leave this arguement knowing you are just not a rational person, and infact very dense aswell.

onebeelo

I just have one thing to say to that :x

I am going to love and tolerate the hell outta you ^.^

it wasnt an insult by the way. im just calling a nail a nail. if someone goes lacks any sort of reason, logic, rationality, and is quick to side with very ambigious matters, then that is a very stupid and dense person indeed.

I wouldn't say quick, I was arguing with TheSteeeeeel for quite a while (feel free to flick back a few pages to see my arguments/comments. I will definitely not be repeating myself as that would seem rather tedious, redundant and superfluous!)

Oh I wasn't insulted, I don't know you and thus your opinion of me holds between -1 and 0 value ^.^

you told me of the arguement and i did read back actually.

and the bolded part, i think that just proves my lack of rationality and reasoning point. i mean really? because you never met me my opinion of you means nothing? if someone is racist on a forum im going to form a (valid) opinion on that person being ignorant.. did u personally know jesus? because his opinions of you, you seem to hold up very highly.

im not the one who decides if people are christian. Christianity decides. if you dont follow christianity, its laws and texts, then you simply are not a christian. not difficult to understand.onebeelo

You aready said that all roman catholics are not roman catholics because the catholic church accepts evolution. That is about 750million people.

In your view there are infact no christians at all as all bibles have been revised or re-written at some point.

You say 'Christinity decides' who is or isn't a christian, yet christianity already has decided.

I am not a Christian, or indeed religious, however as a non-christian I would never tell a christian that they were fake or a non-christian.

Pretty much, should it mean something? You are a random person on the internet whom chances are I will never meet. Why should your negative opinion of me have any affect on my life? Don't worry, I will answer it for you to save time. It shouldn't ^.^

Racism =/= random insult to a specific person

I didn't know Jesus had a personal opinion of me...He was around about 1950 years before I was born, he must have great foresight. Do you know what he said about me? Was it nice?

yes i did say that and the point i was making is that you cannot be a christian IF Gods only words given to humanity have been distorted and mixed. because then you are not following Gods words, but intead someone elses. and so yes, "christianity (does) decide" who is or who isnt a christian. because if you are not following and believing in christianity, then simply you are not a christian, and if gods words have been tampered with then what will you be beliving in?

yes, it sdoes mean something if you are giving out your true opinons and life views on forums, then it is totally valid for people to critise you as a person on what you say.

you do not have to meet in real life to form an valid opinion on someone.

so let me get this right. you dont think my opinion is valid of you because we never met, okay, but where does that leave Jesus' opinion of you (yes he did have one) and more importantly, your opinion of him? you never met the guy right... so to say he smart and loving, is not a valid statement according to you.

every post you make further shows your lack of logic and rationality. im curious as the wether or not you are older than 16?

But again this returns to the simple point that if someone cannot read, in your view they cannot be religious. So for example a blind person can never be a christian in your view? A religious body will accept members if they go to church each week and contribute to the chuch, these people then follow a religion.

Yours is a very unique standpoint and doesn't hold up to any intellectual scrutiny, it's obvious what point you are trying to make but its built on a false premise. One which only you and a handful of young earth bible literalists would adhere to. Thankfullt very few religious people (of any religion) take their (various) holy books literally.

But most religions do not demand people do, yet your claiming they do.

a blind man can get someone to read the bible for them. and no, if someone goes to church and contributes to the church, this does not make them a christian. what are you crazy? how do you not get this? you need to believe in the religion and follow its rules. you cannot just go to church then qualify as a christian. absolutle mental.

But you do not make up the rules. It isn't within your power. The rules of Christianity are the 10 commandments.

If you follow the rules of a religion and worship the god of said religion, you are religious.

You can of couse in your own mind make up whatever rules you chose and you can even believe that your rules must be obeyed, for whatever reason. But you would have to have to be a bit deficent to expect any religion to listen to you.

Many religions don't require its members to read the bible not to mention taking it literally. Religions make the rules about religion, not some random internet poster.

I think that they can exist. Humans did not evolve though, from what I understand the different species of "proto-humans" were actually just different species. Take it how you will, interpret it as you will, but that's my opinion.

never said that. i said how flimsly is christianity if everyone is picking and choosing what THEY PERSONALLY think are metaphors or literal? if everyone in the same religion is believing diferrent things then that is pretty damn stupid.

Exactly, and it would remove it from being an "organized religion" where everyone shares beliefs, to something more of a cult.

I don't see how anyone can believe in an Abrahamic faith and accept evolution. The Abrahamic religions are all dependent upon man being fallen and the Genesis story explains that. Evolution does not.
