What the hell happened to separation of Church and State, this shouldn't even be an issue.

I don't know what is more disturbing, how some candidates use religion to their advantage, or how they publicly judge another persons faith like that...

Strange fact of life: Religion is an important issue to some people.

Another strange fact of life: SoCaS was not designed to keep religion away from public eye.

Another strange "fact": how religious someone is or isn't shouldn't even matter.

You know it used to not be like this. I'm a Democrat, but my religion doesn't interefere with what I think in politics. Republicans are now viewed as strongly religous when it should be most importantly should be about its roots.

Honestly I blame 100% of this on Karl Rove. I think it was the only way he could get Bush elected and it opened the floodgates. Dems and the GOP are guilty now, and it makes me sick. I could care less about a candidates religious preference, and it takes away from the real issues. I wish it would stop now.

Problem with most people is they choose to elect someone based on weather or not they agree with there beliefs more then the real issues those people are talking about. Been a plague of politics for generations.
