It was a Darren Aronofsky film, what were you expecting? The Wrestler and Black Swan were far from happy films.
He was fantastic in this >_>Meh. Drugs aren't that cryable. Plus Marlon Wayans is in it.

I agree, and it kind of makes me wonder why the hell he's never good in anything else. It sucks to see someone with obvious talent piss it away.
Anyway, yes, Requiem is a sad one. I've seen worse, but I must admit I'm not in a hurry to repeat the experience.
[QUOTE="QuistisTrepe_"]Idk, those films were tense as well, but something about this one just got to me.It was a Darren Aronofsky film, what were you expecting? The Wrestler and Black Swan were far from happy films.

The Wrestler made me happy, actually.
*spoiler*
I mean, the guy died doing what he loved. A lot of us are not going to be lucky enough to choose when, where, and how we are going to die...but he was.
yeah I need a long hot shower after watching that movie. I feel so sorry for the poor mom.

this. it was one of the most depressing films i had ever seen.
Glad I'm not the only one TC. Depressing but it was a great movie and it surprised me to see Marlon Wayans in something other than a comedy. He really is talented. All of the Wayans Bros are.
Off-topic:the wrestler sucked. I just saw it a few weeks ago and I was like what the heck is this crap! What was so good about that movie to warrant it such great reviews.
[QUOTE="t3hrubikscube"]I have to say that Requiem for a Dream didn't do much for me. It's a pretty good movie, but I don't really find it remarkable. IantheoneIs that "Wings of Desire" in your sig? It certainly is. :]
Yeah, it was very depressing, but that's why I loved it. It's a great movie to show your friend if they ever consider doing heoin :P Also, just thought I'd add, this is probaby one of my favorite movie titles, it sounds so beautiful, yet the meaning is so dark. It's great.

I've seen it, and it's one of my favorite live-action films, but 'depressing' isn't what I would call it.
sorry but i'm going to say it, i have never seen the movie only heard the masterful soundtrack from it haha :D
