How come these two words are spelled exactly the same, yet sound different from each other :?

If you guys dunno what I'm talking about:
Resume-return to a previous location or condition
Resume- That job thing you have to do when applying for a job

Like other people said... they aren't exactly spelled the same. Resume (the job interview one), has accents, which make it a different word. You didn't spell it right in the title because you left off the accent marks.
