Lol. There is no such thing as acceptable slang. The language is the language. I guess it does not matter anymore... we have killed it long ago. It makes you sound ignorant. I am sure you will attack me again and point out something here.. since you are still failing to understand the idea behind this. Zing Zing right? lol.......................ROFLE COPPTERESER. There I made it easy for you to continue your crusade.

Diablo112688

What crusade? Get over yourself, it's not a crusade. I simply got pissed because you stated that my use of the term "gotta" somehow discounted my opinion.

When did I ask to be taken seriously anyway?

Diablo112688

So this is a joke topic?

It is just a topic. Take things for what they are.

But what is it meant to be taken as? Serious or joke? You seem fairly serious, which makes it painful either way.

What are you taking it as?

A serious suggestion, which is what's sad about this.

It's difficult to stop laughing. This is possibly one of the funniest threads in a long time.

Keep going.

On topic: I've been saying that since I was 6. Nobody listened...made me sad and feel unappreciated.

I deemed it absurd yes.. but that was ME. It really was not my intention to discount your opinion. Do you not realize it is impossible for me to invalidate your opinions about any given subject? No human has that power. All opinions and ideas are equally as valid. I just said this certain something and I figured you would go down this road.

Which would lead to some pretty bad things without proper guidance. Education far after puberty could lead to a warped view on sexuality.

1) Since people would not have an education for a large part of the time they are in the workforce, the entire workforce would become far less skilled, and the entire GDP would go down. This would mean more poverty, and ultimately, more death, aside from worse living.

2) People learn when they are children, not when they are 30, and certainly not after they've lived half their life not learning. Imagine spending your whole life doing whatever and then being told to work. It barely works when they've been told to learn their whole lives. Your assumption that people learn things better when they are older is just plain wrong, and all the research has shown that you can learn something better when you're seven than when you're 27. It's even more absurd than the current system. Neurologically, we are presidisposed to learn things when our brains are still developing.

I was actually hoping for some real revolutionary ideas.

That's a horrible idea. At school, when we are young, are taught the basics of everything and take it in easily because we don't know anything else. By 18, we would be mindless dummies, and would be social retards because school is where we get that ability too.

And because we wouldn't have any education of any sort, we wouldn't be able to work AT ALL until we were like 25 or something, so until then we're just useless.

you go ahead and do that, while your grown kids are doing cart-wheels in the back yard my kids will have already mastered the art of war. Eventually they'll conquer your land of dummys by the age of 19 when the typical person is just realizing that the ocean is filled with salt water and that it isn't a giant fish soup bowl.

Very bad idea. kids learn most at a younger age. You learn more and better as a kid. Also, you'll have a bunch of useless teenagers around doing nothing cause theres no school. And also, to learn a new language (which at some schools they have immersion), you only learn to speak with a perfect accent below i think age 12?

Terrible idea. It is good that children are more impressionable when they are you so that you can teach them more information and they'll retain it. Children, due to their "impressionablility" are more apt to retain their knowledge.

I think actually the real problem with education, especially in school is it focuses too much on memorization rather than thinking and application. We remember stuff for a test and forget it right after. Instead, we should be doing activities and stuff that use these skill, and we should be using them in real world applications. We should answer because we think logically from our own mind and problem solve. Memorization plays a major role, but not that big of a role IMO. Also, we need more classes that will help us in the real world, like balancing a checkbook, finance help etc

i think a way to revolutionize our public education system is to attach the money to the kids and not the schools. that way bad schools close and good ones get more money.

Unfortunately, the second you use the name of that system die hard liberals in this country think its some sort of church and state thing. Vouchers are good, and at least on an educational stand point would render affirmative action useless and void. Not that I think its needed in the first place, but it would be competitive and give everyone enough money to goto good schools.
