I just assumed you chewed it up in your mouth and spit into your child's mouth. I thought that's what all parents were supposed to do.

At this point just turn him in to child protective services.

Or get a book on the matter.

you can really feed them anything at that age, nutrition doesn't matter until they're about five years old

the cheapest option is probably just to **** in his mouth

I know at a really young age human's cells replicate at a much faster rate while the brain and body are growing quickly. Therefore, nutrition is key at that age.

Breastfeed him in public.

But seriously though, I think you're doing fine in terms of food. As he gets older, try to use sweets as rewards whenever he does something right or completes a task. That's what I would do.

Peanut butter is always kind of iffy because many people are allergic to peanuts. if you start that, watch the kid for hives or breathing problems a bit after feeding him. Maybe try banana (mushed if the kid has no teeth yet). Most kids love that stuff, and it''s got potassium.

So I guess what we can learn from this thread is that no person in OT can give a serious answer.

First of all, if this is serious, you shouldn't be asking a forum that is mostly a bunch of kids.

Second of all, don't give the kid peanut butter until he/she is a year old as it's a highly allergic food.

Breastfeed until 6+ months old.

Then move to baby led weaning where you can give them anything you eat, assuming you eat relatively healthy.

Just let him pick whatever he wants to try off your plate, making sure that you cut it into small pieces so there is no choking hazard, And don't feed him, let him feed himself.

Let him supplement with breastfeeding, until he switches completely over to solid food.

Obviously avoid giving them junkfood, dessert in general (unless it is fruit), etc.

Your baby will learn to eat all sorts of different flavours and textures (assuming you eat more than just one or two thing) and you and the baby will have less stress at meal time because you don't have to make something special for him and you aren't gagging him by ramming a spoon down his throat all the time.

Google baby led weaning.

A couple of months baby can be sustained on breast milk alone.

I don't think this is the right time to introduce solid food, consult your doctor.

Sounds like you're feeding him the right things. I guess it wouldn't hurt to feed him soft fruits like bananas and blueberries or things made entirely from mashed fruit.

Actually I think it would be better to give a kid sweets right before being punished to train him to associate it with punishment so that he won't like eating that junk.
