I'm not trying to bash rap, but I'm tired of hearing about banging chicks, and running from the cops, and that AYE, OH, AYE, OH, AYE, OH bullcrap. The stations here play rock from the 80's to now.

Maaarrrz

Okay.

But what would you rather have, sex or Breaking Benjamin?

I think rap wins in that respect.

Breaking Benjamin hands down!

Hell yeah he paved the way for rappers like N.W.A, Snoop dogg, and Nas showed us all what it is like in the hood.

* takes control of the room *

THINKING rap is just "yo me bi*chs and hoes, got me bling bling" IS NOT the truth. more underground rap looks at far more important topics like politics and company's

I LOL'd at this. As a true hip hop head, I couldnt begin to write anywhere near the quality of the greats. To say rapping and writing takes no talent is not only foolish, but unfounded.

I prefer Rock, but I like the anti-authoritarian message in hip-hop, modern counter-culture is tied with rap music, so regardless of how I feel about some of it, ehh whatever

and i'd say some of the better rap, hip-hop whatever artists are better than modern rock, because other than some stuff that is low-key rock is in a pretty bad state.

I'm the other way round. When I first got into Hip-Hop I wouldn't go near Death Row or any gangsta/hardcore rap with a ten foot pole. But I couldn't front on Dre's production. Besides Def Jux have a completely different sound from Dre, you can't compare them.

One type of music isn't just better than another. You can prefer one, but neither is more artistic, requires more talent, or is just better.

I like everything except metal and country really. I listen to rock, hip hop, classical, opera, musical, emo, punk, electronica...It's all good.
