Hey guys I have a problem.

Okay,My tv Remote broke and I cant find another that will work.Well anyway my sister gave me her old vcr and now I plugged it up then put the cable wire on it then hooked up the other cable wire to the tv,I then hooked up my Ps2 and everthing,I turned it to channel 3 then turned on the vcr...and it just went static just like the other channels after I turned it on.I know I dont have to plug anything else up cause last time It was hooked up to my tv,It worked fine with those wires.I relly want to play some of my old Ps2 games tonight,My grandmother gave my Final Fantasy X.Please help
