Won it from that McDonald's/Xbox promo thing. The last few times I went there I just got those dumb free TV series episodes, so I was surprised to see I won something worth value. The only problem is I don't have an XBL account. So I figured I'd just give it away.

I ended up posting the message in SWL too, since no one was here in RC, but to my surprise, basically no one there wanted to take it either. I guess people don't care about free stuff. :/

Going to grandparents for family Christmas party. I don't really do much there though, besides eat and take up space.

Yeah same here. Going with my family to my grandparents place for about a week. Other relatives gonna be there too.

I don't really like these gatherings tbh - I'm usually the awkward one...

I'm usually the one sitting in the other room watching TV, waiting for the day to end.

It's not that I don't like see my family, some of them I only get to see during Christmas, it just everyone there has something going on in life. Me? Nothing. I mean, at least nothing worth mentioning, hence why I'm the one never really socializing during. We've all grown so far apart over the years, it's hard talking to any of them nowadays, ya know? Especially with some of my close cousins I grew up with. They're like sisters to me.

That's so very similar to my case. :O Everyone must think I'm boring or sth.

My cousin, with whom we were so close as kids, is like the most social person I know. She will talk and make jokes with anyone and as a result she has made many friends in the little village my grands live. I never join her as I'm not easy with meeting new people and so I stay home watching TV or anime on my laptop. My relatives must find it really weird that a 20 year old is like that.

At least, when I'm with my friends I'm quite popular and thats all that matters to me.

Your situation sounds just like mine, right down to our age. lol

I know my relatives think I'm anti social or something. I don't know, They tend to be pretty judgmental that visiting them can lead to a bad experience.

Speaking of friends, I need to hang out with mine more. I've lost contact with so many after high school graduation, I only have like 5 friends I still keep in touch with. It's sad. My friends are the only people I can be myself around. :(

Well I only have 7 or 8 friends I made when I started in university two years ago. I haven't kept in touch with anyone from high-school as I was kind of a loner back then or spending time with people I normally wouldn't just for the sake of not standing out. Numbers don't mean anything I guess. I may only have a small circle of friends but we are close so that's enough for me.

Yeah you should hang out with them more. It's not fun being all alone. :(

I never pursued any college/university education myself. As for high school, I wouldn't say I had very many friends. I was at least able to get along with most of the students in my class, even though I wasn't much of a talker.

Personally, I think having a small circle of friends is better than having a large. Sorta like how you said, you're able to spend more time with each other which in turn helps form stronger bonds. Sounds really cheesy, but that's what I figure. :P

I would hang out with them more, it's just... there isn't much to do around here. Sigh, negatives of living in a small town.

I don't really go to any cool places either. I see my friends almost every day in my classes and other than that we go out for a coffee or dinner or to the movies a couple times a week. I also chat with them on skype pretty much every day though.

You can visit some classic places I guess. Cinema, restaurants or coffee houses(those that have board games are really fun to spend time at). And of course all sorts of events like that cosplaying/anime one you were talking about(unless I'm mistaking you with someone else :P).

True, true, though I'd have to talk them into it. Also, I always feel weird asking them to go places with me that involve spending money, as some of them aren't as well off as I am (and that's not saying much as my family isn't the most wealthy either).

No, you were right, that was me. lol Funny you should say that since the last time my friends and I hung out was at a local con, though unfortunately this year there's an admission fee. :(

Everything seems to require money nowadays. Like you, I don't have any real economic issues as I come from a middle classed family but I can't afford to make many high-budget purchases either. My last one was building my pc and I can't see myself spending that amount of money again for some time.

I wish there were anime/cosplaying cons here but they don't seem to be as prevalent as in America or Japan.

Yep yep. I'm still jobless too, so it's especially apparent I keep tabs on my spending. I've only been able to earn money through odd jobs from my family or around town. Unfortunately nothing full-time though.
