I pre-ordered "Thor" a few weeks ago. At the time, I pre-ordered it at 35bucks. Then it went down to 31.99, and because of the Pre-order Price Guarantee, my order went down to 31.99 as well. Then it went down even more to 29.99.

Thor just released yesterday (Sept 13). My order went into "Shipping Soon" on September 12. Yesterday, the price for Thor went down to 27.99. My order was already in the midst of shipping, so I was charged 29.99 and not 27.99.

The thing, is that the Pre-order Price Guarantee is supposed to charge me 27.99 not 29.99--the price went down before the actual release date, but the item entered the shipping process early.

So I did what anyone would do, and contacted Amazon. This incompetent Indian woman kept insisting that 29.99 was the correct price and that 27.99 changed after my order shipped, and I told her that's not how the POPG is supposed to work by quoting off the Terms and Conditions for the POPG. Then she told me that Amazon doesn't do price-matching, but she'll make a "one time exception" and give me $2 promotional credit off a FUTURE puchase and asked if that's agreeable.

Hell no it's not agreeable, you're supposed to charge me 27.99, but you start shipping my order before the release date, and then tell me that you don't do price-matching? I'm not even asking for price-matching, I'm asking you to charge me the price you display on the website.

Never solved. I finally contacted another guy and he said I was right, and then refunded me $2bucks. 15mins wasted. Seriously, how hard is it to get someone who understands their own policies?

September 12 morning/afternoon - Order prepared for shipment.
Sepember 12 night - Price goes down to 27.99
September 13 (Item release date) - Item actually ships.

I'm charged 29.99 even though the price went down to 27.99 before the item was released.
