Roll Call: Go Launch Yourself Into Space Edition

In 1969, Apollo 11 was launched, creating a time-honored American tradition of spending billions of dollars to go launch a bunch of guys into space.

Since then, millions of Americans nationwide have partaken in the equally honorable tradition of imagining people like ex-wives or bratty kids or that weird smelly guy from down the street who keeps coming over to talk about crap you don't care about getting strapped onto a huge freaking rocket and being launched into space.

So today on January 11, we salute the brave scientists who could make this all possible and fulfill the dreams of people everywhere, except for Uncle Larry who is probably hurtling towards the sun as we speak.

This is one of the image results when I searched for "launch yourself into space" and I don't really know why but I guess maybe they put their oxen on "grueling" and something went terribly wrong.
