[QUOTE="worthyofnote"]Yes it was. Best thing I ever bought at Wal-Mart apart from a Mario Bros. Bullet Bill t-shirt for around the same price.

worthyofnote

Awesomeness. Well I need to shop at Wal-Mart more often. :P

Meh, I like shopping at Target better. We just had this discussion on the OT main page yesterday.

Yeeeaaaah same here. Ahhh I missed that.

I pretty much deduced that from both your username and your general avy/sig theme.

Oh, I thought it wasn't obvious enough.

I should be doing the same here soon. Work early in the morn. Goodnight. @Exotic: Naw, I think it's about that time the night slows down the activity here.

I use whey protein and that does wonder. It's not as good as steroids but it seems to help me gain muscle.

Steroids actually begin to do more damage then they do good. Whey protein is just fine. Carbohydrate-rich foods and Creatine are also nice supplements to use for packing on some pounds and muscle, or the energy (Creatine) to do so.

Creatine is good if you use it everyday. Once you stop, you lose a lot of the muscles. I used to take it and puked almost everytime I drank it before and after football workouts. Steroids aren't bad if used in the right amounts. I've never done them but I've had friends who done so and got ripped with taking the correct dosage.

would never use steroids, way too many extremely dangerous side effects for what is essentially fake muscle. But the powder that he advised me on has creatine in it, so hopefully it should all be good :D

Steroids are illegal to use without a proper prescription. Plus, the risks associated with them is higher than the need or desire to enhance actual physical performance. The problem is, competition. In sports for example, everyone is looking for that edge that sets them apart from the rest. So they push themselves to take more than the recommended dosage. And thus, they become abused. Taking them for any other purpose than medical reasons is abuse.

I know. I know. I've never taken them but just want to try it out and see what its effects are.

Yeah, but how legit is this? I remember asking both my doctor and my nutritionist about it awhile back. Even read about it somewhere else too. No real conclusive studies have shown specifically that any adverse side effects can be sustained from long term use. I remember being told that, like anything, in moderation. Exceeding the normal dosage could be negative to your body. But that also factors in with other pre-existing health issues the consumer has themself.

I think that there are no long term effects at all if used correctly from what I've read and talked with other people who've used it. From personal experience, I used it for about almost two years, only stopping a few times before getting back on it weeks/months later. From that experience, there was a noticble difference from when I was using it and when I had stopped. It was quick transformation but weeks later, I felt the difference even though I had kept doing the same workouts for football lifting. I felt a little weaker in my arms and they felt like they lost a little bit of size.

Hmm, I've been on and off with it for quite some time now and haven't really noticed any loss or differences. They only recent changes I have been seeing as of late is my weight. Getting closer and closer to what I was back in high school. And that's a good thing. 10 pounds away from what I was senior year.

I heard you're from Cleveland. Is that true?

ExoticAnimal

Yes sir. Born and raised.

Same here. Was raised in North Royalton. What about you?

Cleveland, inner city. West side. Currently in Old Brooklyn/South Hills area. Still city, but a cleaner side with nicer people. But I have family out all over. And have lived in some of the burbs myself. Parma, Lakewood, Royalton, Strongsville.

Oh nice. I know all those places. :P Wow, I've only met one other person on GS who's from Cleveland and now I can add you to that list.
