What about events? I ran the 200m, 400m, and 800m dash. I was also on the 400 and 800m relay teams (and did the 100m relay once). My best was the 200 and I don't know how good I would have been at the 800 since I did that way too late in my high school career (I didn't know I was good at it until I did it once and noticed I had a huge PR). In the 200m though my PR was a 23.

Ahh I wish you knew your times so we could compare lol. What sucked for me was that this past year my high school's 200m relay team won state and if I hadn't of graduated I could have been a state champion. I would have been on that relay team. :( We had this one freshman (now junior) who's going to be a 5 star recruit in basketball, football, and track. He was crazy fast!

My senior year the 200m team qualified for state for the first time in years. From what I'm reading this has been a tough experience for you even with all the highs. I know it had to be a great feeling to run with them but at the same time you seem to want it done the way you wanted it to.

@mitu: Kind of. I'm proud of the team since I was a part of it a year ago, but at the same time yeah I wish I could have been a part of that team that won state. I would have either been the 2nd or 3rd runner on the relay team. It was a great feeling winning regionals and going to state my senior year, but still... Also in the 400m relay I almost ran at state for that. I was the 5th man for it, but only did the 200. That and the 800m we never made a team up but if we had we would have gone to state in it. One of my best friends was the defending state champ in long distance and our senior year he was the #1 runner in the 800, mile, and 2 mile runs. If he had chosen to run in the 800 relay along with another friend of mine who was focusing on a different event but was top 5 in the state at the 800 too we would have made it there too. I loved track but there are just so many what if's that were left at the end for me. I never liked experimenting and discovered I was good at some events way too late (like the 800). I feel like if things had gone slightly different I would have more than just a regionals medal. :(
