Well, it depends on the school's curriculum (sp?), but from my experience with a large university, it involves both computing knowledge and mathematical skills. Some schools may not rely so much on the math, though. I know because I transferred out of a math-intensive CSI school and went to a smaller school that focused more on the computing aspects. Either way, I don't find the courses that tough, but again, it all depends on skills.
