True. If you don't totally agree on what it means and entails you might have issues. And you don't want to marry someone who does something stupid and then says "Oh I didn't know that was going to be bad for our marriage!" B.S.

It seems to me that if you feel this way, it's a good sign. The overwhelming majority of marriages that don't work is due to a nonchalant attitude about the union between the two people.

I certainly want to be careful and think of everything before taking the plunge. But I might be unreasonably paranoid and doubtful. It's not the person I doubt it's the "marriage". I think I watch too much tv and hear too many tabloid stories because I'm scared witless that I'll get cheated on and taken for a ride during the divorce. It's everywhere these days. So how do I get past that? Ugh.

They seem okay to me IF and only if it makes both parties happy and it's what they truly want. If it keeps people from being betrayed and hurt, and both parties benefit from it, mkay.

Doesn't mean I'd go for that kinda thing though! So not happening! :P

Sadly those first two things are factors. The second at least partially because of the first. But it's getting better and I'm working hard at getting back to complete trust. Then yea, nothing to worry about, and ready for marriage! Piece of cake! :P
