it just seems to me that this year, more than any other election, voting the for the mainstream/front-runners is not the way to go. all they have been doing is repeating the same old rhetoric over and over. They have all distance themselves so far from where the country began and heres Ron Paul saying, yo lets take a step back here people.[QUOTE="en-z-io"][QUOTE="ronniepage588"][QUOTE="en-z-io"][QUOTE="ronniepage588"][QUOTE="en-z-io"]I like him. I like how he wants to uphold the Constitution and how he actually does what he says he will. It's interseting to see him want to return to the roots of Republicanism, i.e. smaller central government and larger state governments. I do not, on the other hand, agree with his ideas on immigration and abolition of most federal government institutions (other than defense department and a few select others). In the end, he's still my favorite Republican candidate though. He most likely wouldn't get his radical ideas past Congress, but his honesty would bring some good to the Presidency.
With all that said, I will still vote for the Democrats this time around. I support Kucinich the most, but I don't think he has any shot of becoming President. Obama would be my more 'mainstream' choice.

i don't understand why people think he ideas are radical, its all based on the constitution. whats wrong with his immigration ideas?
Well, doesn't he support tighter border security a la a fence?
uh...no. lol where did you hear that one?
The fact that he voted for the Secure Fence Act of 2006?
i apologize. but its not a part of his current agenda. he does want to make border security much stronger though. that is one tiny issue that goes back and forth between every candidate and i am not voting based on that alone. atleast he doesn't change his opinion on immigration week in and week out.
another thing, most people seem to not have the right understanding of what he wants to do with some of the government institutions.
