This is going off topic, but what may I ask motivated you to point something out? Particular in a comment that didn't refer to you? I could have pretty much stopped responding if you hadn't decided to comment back there, Frame had already stated he was ceasing the discussion. This response I am making right now wouldn't be possible if you didn't maintain your criticism with this post, yet you direct all blame at me?

So what I'm basically being told is this. If I respond to a comment that is directly referencing, and insulting, me. That's my ego preventing me from staying out the thread. But if you respond to a comment that doesn't involve you in the least, that's perfectly ok. But, and let's get this right. I'm in the wrong for responding to you, it's my ego making me respond to you right now, even though your comment is a criticism of me?

Seems like double standards here. In fact you are probably blaming me right now for "reacting" to a comment directed towards me, me and my stupid ego; keeping me responding. Despite the urge to justify yourself likely building in your mind right now, because of this criticism I am directing at you right now, you probably still deem me in the wrong. Because I keep responding irritatingly. But when you respond, it's totally justified.

I'm not really that bothered about this, wanting to respond to a criticism directed towards you is perfectly natural. It's just you made it sound unjustifiable and egotistical, while you've been doing it yourself; but giving special exception to yourself.

He's effectively given special exception to himself, as you have here, where it's "that other guys fault". If I'm egotistical for continuing to respond to criticisms of myself, and not allowing them to sit unattested, I don't see why you and him are any different.
