I cracked up laughing after watching this.
"Ready"Ad
I dont know how people are voting for this guy.
Didnt they do this kind of fearmongering in hitlers germany?...
This topic is locked from further discussion.
.....Now I think I want him with Cheney and Bush when Al Qaida bombs them.....
God this is just disgusting. The fear mongering has me more PO'd than I ever have been. I really wish I could slap each and every person who actually buys into this BS and then take away their right to vote.....
I don't see a problem with the ad. Its not like he showed you a bunch of peaceful Muslims praying and stating "KILL THEM ALL." He shows you Bin Laden, President Bob (of Iran), and then shows a possible democratic leader who was assisnated. It even says "A religion betrayed."
Of course someone had to squeeze some sort of over-the-top comment about Bush and company being killed by a bomb into their post.
That was... terrible to say the least. He made every single living thing in the Middle East sound bad (especially them camel spiders). How can anyone vote for that guy?!
Who wants to post hate comments on YouTube? :D
-edit-
"A religion betrayed." What religion and how was there a betrayal? Someone educate me on that. :|
At first I thought Youtube started putting ads before videos, and I was watching a trailer for a new movie. I didn't realize it was his campaign ad until his name came up.olion
I agree with you, at least on that assessment. He is clearly playing off the action movie industry and is trying to appear tough, as if he has no weaknesses. Now let's recap, his former chief of police has been busted on bribery charges, one of his campaign managers has been busted for dealing cocaine, am I one of the few people to wonder if he has mafia ties?

I know, you made an over-the-top comment about wishing Bush and Cheney death which carried over to this topic.

Have you seen the video on youtube where I guy put a scorpion in a bucket with a camel spider? I swear after all the crap I was told I expected the fight to be pretty one sided in the camel spider's favor, but low and behold the scorpion wins. El alacran, FTW!

Yes, actually!
It was on my MySpace for a while.
[QUOTE="cjek"]That was terrible, but I'm surprised he didn't get them to shove one of those WTC tower explosions in there. We all know how much he loves slipping 9/11 into everything he says. The guy is clearly going nowhere this year.ElZilcho90
Didn't you see the picture of the 9/11 wreckage after the bit about "Osama bin Ladin making threats"?
Was that originally Ill Duce in that photograph?

Indeed, Mussolini.
I can't take credit for the pic, I found it on another forum. :P
Damn him for exploiting Bhutto's death for political gain.
Kinda nice to see that the video only has one star.
The Anti-Republican sentiment runs strong in this forum. No whonder the fewrepublicans that were registered here have long since vanished...

I think you just don't see them in the OT much, if you checked out Church & State or Goose's Garage you would probably be surprised, not to mention the Conservative Union.
Regardless though, I'm not anti-republican, for instance I find similarities between myself and paleo-conservatives on many issues. I just weep that the Republican party has become nothing more then a viper's nest of neo-conservatives.

I am not anti-republican (Ron Paul is probably my fav candidate) but I absolutely hate fearmongering with a passion and I hate the current politicians we have (both in Congress and our president/vice president).
It saddens me how far our government has fallen. No more morals no more honor no more caring what the truth is and no more caring whats best for the people. Just do what you can to get votes so you can have fun for a few years....

Ahh!!! *scream* *chilling horror voice*
Seriously though I swear that our politicians have read "The Prince" cover to cover, multiple times. After all how else could the bastards actually be so close to Machiavelli in thinking?

IDK. I am just afraid of all the similarities between us and Germany right before the Nazi regime took over....
whats so disgusting? he's saying he'll crack down on terrorists like bin laden
shoeman12
Sure he will, that is why his chief of police was busted for taking bribes, and how he has been caught using city funds to go having adulterous affairs. Yep, the candidate that will protect us from teh terrarist!!!!1111

Yeah you are, and incredibly wrong. Before he was Mayor he was the Attorney that actually helped bring down the Mafia.Jeez, the guy's Italian and has a few shady friends (as if no one else does. Everyone on here should take a look in the mirror and also look at some of the shady figures the candidates your pulling for hang out with) and suddenly he has ties to the Mafia.

funny i don't really support him. if it was between him and a democrat, then yeah i'd vote for him but among other republicans there are much better cantidates. all i'm saying is whats wrong with the ad and i really don't see how those things have anything to do him cracking down on terrorists.

I'll take your word for it on the taking down the Mafia, after all we would be in disagreement non-stop if I happened to suggest that perhaps he was working for one family to shut down opposing familes, *gasp* like that has never occured. Nevertheless though I got a good laugh at your cover for him, as if every American has that kind of connections with various criminal elements. Then again you will probably vote for the man thinking somehow you will be protected, without taking a good look at all the people who happen to be his friends who are getting busted on various charges. But who cares, right? We need a STRONG President, one who is afraid to remove nuclear first strikes off the table, and one that plays on the fears of soccer moms. Yep, the terrorist wants you dead, now give him your guns & ignore him as your freedom of speech disappears.
Oh and don't cry when you support candidates that will bring about the eventual fiscal bankruptcy of the US, after all no one is going to come demanding to be paid for loaning money to the US, why that would never occur!

You should check out the Blowback trilogy that Chalmers Johnson wrote. And it wouldn't hurt to watch some of his video's on youtube & google video. :P
Anyways here is one where he talks about the instability of empires & economic collapse.
Fallen empries & collapsing economies
whats so wrong about this? Hes being realistic, maybe you should try it sometime? Face it, the middle east is messed up. They are always fighting and never know when to quit. The main religion in that region promotes followers to kill the "infidel" and by doing so, receiving 72 virgins when they reach heaven. However I do agree that it was kind of movie trailer-ish.moptopskate
Now I'm not an expert on the Quran by any means, but from the way I understand the whole virgins & paradise thing came from the Hashashin, the old man on the mountain, all the while at Alamut. Interesting to consider since Assassin's Creed has you working for them.
Can't argue with Mr. G's tyrant label, the Ad is a little extreme but is there anything in it that isn't true? No offense to all Muslims btw.
I agree with the original topic starters "Ron Paul for '08" - Ron Paul all the way, he needs to be our next leader.

Also, they're not all bad. He's just stereotyping.
My question still stands, though. What religion was betrayed and how so?
