There's a difference between realizing the threat of radical islamic terrorism and using it for the sake of fearmongering and political gain.ElZilcho90Thanks for the sig.

[QUOTE="Smaug84"][QUOTE="moptopskate"]whats so wrong about this? Hes being realistic, maybe you should try it sometime? Face it, the middle east is messed up. They are always fighting and never know when to quit. The main religion in that region promotes followers to kill the "infidel" and by doing so, receiving 72 virgins when they reach heaven. However I do agree that it was kind of movie trailer-ish.scorch-62
Now I'm not an expert on the Quran by any means, but from the way I understand the whole virgins & paradise thing came from the Hashashin, the old man on the mountain, all the while at Alamut. Interesting to consider since Assassin's Creed has you working for them.
Also, they're not all bad. He's just stereotyping.
My question still stands, though. What religion was betrayed and how so?
Yeah, I've known a couple of muslims in my lifetime, and not a single one has advocated violence. In fact one had to essentially change his name to Jay because his original name was Jihad. I met the man because they were holding a prayer vigil at his house because of the Israeli/Lebanon issue where his family just happens to live in Lebanon. Luckily they were able to make it to the mountains, or at least that is what I remember..
As for a religion being betrayed, well, Guiliani may want to look closer to home at some Christians, after all they are supposedly a religion based on an individual who wasn't a warmonger. So who was really betrayed, and why?
That was... terrible to say the least. He made every single living thing in the Middle East sound bad (especially them camel spiders). How can anyone vote for that guy?!
Who wants to post hate comments on YouTube? :D
-edit-
"A religion betrayed." What religion and how was there a betrayal? Someone educate me on that. :|scorch-62
Because they are mistenterpreting the Quaran, thinking that it's God's will to kill non-believers and Western civilization.......
He's not saying Islam is bad.....it really isn't that difficult of a concept. People so quickly jump on the hate bandwagon due to ignorance. What ever happend to critical thinking......
[QUOTE="Smaug84"][QUOTE="Thechaninator"][QUOTE="Tolwan"]The Anti-Republican sentiment runs strong in this forum. No whonder the fewrepublicans that were registered here have long since vanished...

I am not anti-republican (Ron Paul is probably my fav candidate) but I absolutely hate fearmongering with a passion and I hate the current politicians we have (both in Congress and our president/vice president).
It saddens me how far our government has fallen. No more morals no more honor no more caring what the truth is and no more caring whats best for the people. Just do what you can to get votes so you can have fun for a few years....
Ahh!!! *scream* *chilling horror voice*
Seriously though I swear that our politicians have read "The Prince" cover to cover, multiple times. After all how else could the bastards actually be so close to Machiavelli in thinking?
IDK. I am just afraid of all the similarities between us and Germany right before the Nazi regime took over....
Learn your history. The whole state of Germany was in poverty stricken and desperate, and that's how the Nazi's took over. Hitler capitalized on the opprtunity and gave them hope that he could restore Germany to the great empire in which it once was.

The Muslim religion does not support terrorism, only extremist who misinterpret the Quaran do......

Does that not mean that slight alterations can occur, that people can't surrender to fear when they aren't experiencing an economic depression? It is foolish to assume that fascism can't arise except in cases of economic disaster. Though while their are major differences between fascism and national socialism they can both arise through innumerable circumstances. Can't argue with Mr. G's tyrant label, the Ad is a little extreme but is there anything in it that isn't true? No offense to all Muslims btw.
I agree with the original topic starters "Ron Paul for '08" - Ron Paul all the way, he needs to be our next leader.
Panman_Dan
I used to be skeptical of Ron Paul, but the more I listen to him speak and read up on his ideas, the more I believe that he needs to be the next president. The thing that I admire about Ron Paul is that he's not afraid to stand up for his beliefs, even with people laughing at him. He'd be a very strong leader. He's worried the most about the economy, which should be the main thing that everyone is debating about. If our economy continues in the direction that it's going, this nation will be nothing. Although if we had the money to stay in Iraq and try to stablize it (it took the US 10 years to create a stablized government, and we nearly failed) I would be for that policy, but sadly I just don't think it's possible anymore.
Scare the voters? Are you kidding me? Everything in this ad is 100% true. The world is a scary place. Get used to it.
Would you rather be lied to about, "Change" by some idiot who has no idea what he's doing, or do you want the truth, something all of the liberal supporters claimt o be after to much.
