this is about as surprising as coalition forces finding hundreds of chemical weapons in iraq

whipassmt

They did.

"The 500 munitions discovered throughout Iraq since 2003 and discussed in a National Ground Intelligence Center report meet the criteria of weapons of mass destruction, the center's commander said here today.

"These are chemical weapons as defined under the Chemical Weapons Convention, and yes ... they do constitute weapons of mass destruction," Army Col. John Chu told the House Armed Services Committee"

You mean the 500 badly corroded munitions that were manufactured in the 80s (and couldn't even be used) by a country that hadn't signed and therefore didn't recognise the CWC? Hardly justification for invasion.

For all intents and purposes, no WMDs were found in Iraq.

Does it really matter to anyone wether there were chemical weapons or not?
Saddam Hussein massacered a massive amount of people and worked together with Ali Hassan al-Majid who is responsible for genocide.
It was clear that Saddam Hussein and Ali Hassan al-Majid posed a danger to civillian in iraq who defyed them.
Besides that, it was matter of time before both Saddam Hussein and Ali Hassan al-Majid would become a treat to anyone who defies them on international level.

The question that the invading parties asked themselves was not 'are there chemical weapons present'
it was, 'it is responsible to enable both Saddam Hussein and Ali Hassan al-Majid, allowing them to become a actual danger'.

People should see this invasion as a act of prevention.

Anyway that's just my view on this war

Nations, like America, support terrorists all the time...
