The first 10 minutes of Up. I hadn't cried in about 6 years...by the end of the opening montage I lost it. Thank God for 3D glasses and that my friends were all crying too.

Then later when he looks at the book and sees the "Stuff We Did" section...I lost it again. Up really is one of the most touching and emotional movies I've ever seen; the storyline is truly sad when you think about it. Now I want to watch it again, haha.

The ending of 'Dragonheart'...maybe not the saddest moment in any movie but I think it was the first movie that made my eyes water...

Probably one of the most emotional, touching pieces of art in the history of animation. That scene is brilliant!

[QUOTE="MrGeezer"]

Boromir's death in The Fellowship of the Ring.

CBR600-RR

That made me weep so bad, he was my favourite character.

Others were Mufasa's death, Jet Li at the end in the film Fearless,

Ah, forgot about Fearless. The fact that it's inspired by a true story holds even more impact.

Didn't make me cry, but made me so depressed I was beyond crying and I still find it wrenching.

In the movie 'The Gray Zone', when the little girl is with her family waiting to go into the gas chambers and she is holding on to her stuffed bunny for comfort.

That movie covers you with a depression like a stink you can't wash off.

The infamous scene from Saving Private Ryan, when that German kills both allies, especially the knife kill, not as scary as depressing

Recently I'd have to say the opening of 'Up' got to me pretty good. The remake of 'King Kong' comes to mind as well, I found myself quite bored during that movie but the last 30min of that movie really got to me. The scene where KK is sliding around on the ice only to be shortly followed up by him getting shot down was as sad as they come for me.

Probably close to the end of "It's a wonderful life"... that movie gets me every time. It may be "It's a beautiful life", I'm not sure. The one with the kid being hid in a concentration camp by his father who's trying to save him.

Watchmen - Dr. Manhattan's monologue when he's on Mars about his life. Not sad, but chilling + that music.

Raising Victor Varges - When Victor is getting thrown out the house

Clerks II - The fade to black/white before credits

Toy Story - Woody's fears becoming a reality when the other toys begin to love Buzz more

Sin City - "Old Man Dies, Young Girl lives. Fair Trade."

Does anybody remember Little Foot's Mom dying and he actually laid down next to her while she way dying? My god, it's a wonder children everywhere weren't traumatized by that moment.

In Click, when Sandler is old and chasing after his son and daughter, then falls over was a scene that had me in tears. I'd also like to mention Reign Over Me. I never saw it, but the trailer depressed me for weeks.
