I'm like crying cause these songs touch me. My friend just died in a car accident at 17. Listening to these songs are making me cry and stay awake. I miss her :(

The All-American Rejects (Last Song)

Im sorry to hear about your friend, but I'm sure you're not here for my pity. I hope you feel better soon.

I am a huge fan of both the bands you listed. Another sad song by Lifehouse is "Broken."I love your choices too.

Saosin has a couple of songs that are pretty deep if you listen to the lyrics:"Voices" and "You're not alone."

They're like my favorite band. They're awesome and they have gotten me through bad times!

Secondhand Serenadeis another great artist. He's a one-man band (Acoustic). All his songs are great. Check him out if you can.

Best wishes. Cheers.

Edit: Sick Puppies -"All the Same"and "Too Many Words" will help drown out your sadness as well. Dont let the name fool you.

"Let Go" by Boys Like Girls.

And lastly, to draw inspiration. Josh Groban's Closer Album will do the trick. :)

"Pieces" by RED from the album End Of Silence

And a cool Cloud Dtrife video to go with it. Give it a look.

One of the saddest songs I have heard is Tears in Heaven by Eric Clapton; it's about the death of his four year old son.

Idk if anyone else remembers it or not, but around the time of 9/11, there was a song airing on the radio that was like God warning the people in the towers to leave, but only a few listened. And don't take offense by that for any reason. I'm just saying it was a sad song that actually got me to tears.

On another note, I'd say two others would be All The Best Cowboys and Priest and the Matador by Senses Fail, Adam's Song by blink 182, and Tearjerker by KoRn. They're all a tie

Some of these probably aren't sad to other people but they are to me.

Tears Don't Fall by Bullet For My Valentine

Map of the Problematique by Muse

How To Disappear Completely by Radiohead

Yeah, I was gonna say any Smiths song really.

And Thirty-Three. The Smashing Pumpkins are such a sad band overall though.
