All couples have the right to be miserable together, regerdless of sexual orientation. Who am I to say otherwise?
Unoppose,
marriage wasn't even a religious institution to begin with, why religion seems to want to claim to "own" it now, is beyond me, I oppose the christian reich far more than I oppose people's happiness.
Keep this in mind: religion is a choice, sexuality is not.
Oppose, I just don't think its right.cryptosopoidium
See, now this is what I don't get. Just because you don't like it, doesn't mean other people shouldn't be allowed to do it.
Since when did people have the right to tell others what to do with their personal lives? Please clarify this for me.
Let's review this for everyone who opposes gay marriage:
- Marriage is NOT restricted to Christianity, so any reference to Christian beliefs are invalid from the start. In fact, doing so violates the constitution in the separation of Church and State
- Marriage can be a secular, legally binding contract (Which is what homosexuals want)
- Churches can have the individual right to host a gay marriage if they wish
- It is a consenting relationship between two adults of legal age (Therefore any reference to bestiality or pedophilia is invalid)
- People's personal lives are no one elses' business
- It doesn't harm anyone
- There is no 'sanctity' of marriage. Again, see the reference to the fact that marriage was not invented by Christians
divorce rates are at 50%
the media has turned marriage in to a game with shows like The Bachelor, The Bachelorette
celebrities with their fad marriages lasting a few months to 55 hours (Go Britney)
There is no adverse reason for it not to be allowed other than personal bias and religious belief, neither of which should have any legal standing.
Did I miss anything?

In the same breath, I think you'll find he's not doing anything to stop it. Thus, his opinion stands.
[QUOTE="sovereign_22"]it boggles my mind why its not legal everywhere, especially here in america, thats just embarassingAmyMizunoBecause unfortunately, the American electorate has been hijacked by Wall Street and religious fanatics. They have driven the country into the ground. As an American, I can no longer say that America is the best country in the world to live in.What does Wall Street have to do with gay marriage?
