Sarah Palin completely dropkicks the Obama campaign.

Yahoo! story on Palin speech.

Some of my favorite lines were:

"John McCain's road to the White House hasn't been a journey of self-discovery."

She also said "as mayor, she was kind of a community organizer ... but with actual responsibilities."

For those of you who watched it, this was a kick in the teeth to the other side.

I doubt anything she said has much affect on the Democrats. All she did was make the whole thing seem like a playground fight... Especially considering that most don't look up to her as a credible politician to begin with.

Cool, she attacked Obama. That must make her a perfect VP! And McCain's road to the White House has had a 8 mile long string of cars behind it because he's only driving 30mph with his blinker on. ;)

A town of 5000 people(at the time) and she managed to add 22 million dollars in debt to the place, she inherited it with no deby whatsoever.

Anyways, as far as the speech goes, whatever. Conventions are just excuses to bash the other side with a crowd to cheer them on.

Oh great.

Can we just abolish the word "change" from the campaigns this year?

But that would eliminate 1/3 of Obama's campaign arguments!

Actually, he rarely brings that up in the debates. Which is all I ever bother listening to.

Campaign speeches are pointless.

she spouted so much BS tonight, any informed American was LOL'ing tonight. I can't wait to watch Biden tear her a new one and expose her for who she is, a junior Governor that's completely unqualified for the job. Afterall, the ONLY purpose of VP is take over the country in case something is to happen to the POTUS. This is who we have? LOLOLOLOLOL!

She looked like a deer in headlights during moments reading from the teleprompter, and that speech wasn't written by her, obviously, but it was closely crafted to NOT expose just how far to the right she is, a radical religious nut. No thanks. Gotta love how she's using not only her son as bait, but her special needs kid as well. Of course again, and it needs to be said, that wasn't her decision, that was the speech writers of the RNC who think the average American is an idiot and gullable. She was actually in support of the bridge to no where!! LOL! and she tried to claim she got rid of it! She talks about Obama raising taxes, but she straigth up lied about Obama's tax policy, which will raises personal income taxes a few percentage points for people making over 250k a year, not raise people's taxes. This is one issue they aren't going to win in the end, especially after the debates and the actual tax plans are released to the public. The RNC can lie all they want as this is an issue they've had over the years, but it's not going to work this time around, so long people are informed.

Lots of blows to the Obama camp in the speech, and I'd expect them to take the gloves off now. They're gonna hit back hard after tonight, as they've been walking very carefully since the nomination, I'd expect things to get interesting now.

I like Gulianni's line, "I'm sorry [Palin's] hometown isn't cosmopliton enough, Mr. Obama, maybe they are clinging to their guns." That's not exact, but close.blackngold29

as someone from the Philly area, I can tell you, outside the major cities in PA, they don't call PA "Alabama" for no reason, it's loaded with right wing religous nuts that thankfully don't outnumber everyone else, hence why it's mostly Blue over the years. That remark was absolutey correct, it's just that honesty STINGS! haha

it's a running joke in the tri-state and political arena for a long time. "Everything between Philly and Pittsburgh is basically Alabama". You've never heard that? Back in the 90's the term was used in analyzing votes in the State during major elections.

Those same people came up with the electoral college because they didn't trust the average voter. Besides the Founding Fathers were extremely well-educated, hardly typical citizens.
