I'm taking them tomorrow too, but it's my first time, so I want to see how well I do with just the knowledge I've gained through my education. The way I see it, if you don't already know it, memorizing information from a prep book at the last minute isn't really going to help you.
Keep playing Oblivion.
No, seriously, keep playing Oblivion. At this point there's nothing you can do except stress yourself out, and as a result the best course of action is to pretty much forget that you have the SAT tomorrow and relax. That way when you sit down tomorrow you'll (hopefully) be awake and (relatively) calm.
I'm doing it in October and November (twice), taking a couple months of courses in the summerToriko42I also suggest you try the ACT. Some people do far better on one than the other. I know I did :P
I never studied for the SAT and I did relatively well.thepwninatorSame. They make it out to be the biggest deal in the world and when I walked out I felt calm and confident about what I had done.

They ttend to suggest the SAT, but won't penalize you if you send in your ACT score instead. As I said, just take both.
this must be a national date for the test.. many of my students returned to borrow graphing calculators this weekend. Best of Luck everyonemfp16The SAT is only given on certain days. Every day it's given is a "national date". I'm assuming this is the last date of the year, so it's not surprising that so many are taking them.

Nope January, May, June, October, November, December I'm doing mine in October and then November of my Grade 12 year
Bring a coke and maybe a chocolate bar. I think they give a break after half way, and you'll need the energy.
I hated the SATs. Easy, but really boring and long. I actually ended up doing pretty bad on them, either I was too slow or the questions looked easy but were deceptively hard...
We don't take SATs here in Iowa. We take the ACTs. I talked to people who had taken them in the past. U really can't prepare for them. Just make sure u meet the recommended class levels and remeber the information. I got a 28 and the max is 36. Most colleges accept u with a 22 instate and a 26 out of state for state schools. Let me give u some tips that I use in college. Eat shrimp the night before. The protein benefits from it help u concentrate and think. About 15 minutes before the test take some deep breaths and clinch your fists too. count 1..2..3 for the breath in and do the same for the breath out. It helps u relax and release tension in your hands. It sounds corny but it actually does help.
Just go to sleep on time, and make sure you eat a big breakfast, so that you dont get hungry during the test and your stomach starts to make noises lol.
And if I were you, I would study for the Math portion of the SAT, I did and it brought me up 100 points. I didn't even study for it that much, I just basically learned the strategies that the book gave me and that's it.
Finally, stay focused until you're done with the section. When you space out, you lose track of time. I spaced out once during the ACT and I ended up having like 10 questions unanswered lol.
I would really recommend you go to sleep lol. On my first time, I didn't go to sleep until 12-1am ish and I was so tired in the morning. Think about it... You're in the same room for hours and it's hard to stay awake because the SATs are boring (especially some of the reading), and with lack of sleep you can't really concentrate as good as you normally could... Yea, lol. In my opinion, I did really bad the first time I took it because i went to sleep too late x_x.
