I'm an obsessive horror film watcher, but I'm starting to run out ofgood ones to watch. I've watched ones like Insidious, Paranormal Activity 1, 2 &3, The Grudge etc. But I'm struggling to find new ones. If anyone can point me in the right direction?

Note: I don't care much for old horror films, so new ones preferebly.

I'm not into Horror very much, but you should have a look at Saw. Just the first one, don't even bother with any of the rest.

Thanks but I've got the box set! :D All 7, And I agree. The others have a good story line, but I think would be portrayed better in the form of books. The twist at the end of 1 and the end of 7 are the main highlights of the series.

Not a huge horror fan but Mirrors with Kiefer Sutherland was pretty solid from what I remember.

you could try:

clive barkers they, book of blood, midnight meat train, dale and tucker vs evil (more comedy horror like sean of the dead), cthulhu (2007), 3 extremes, event horizon, the hellraiser series (though the first two are assuredly the best) triangle, house of a thousand corpses, the devils rejects, the exorcism of emily rose

If you liked Paranormal Activity you might wanna check out Grave Encounters. Terrific indy horror flick. Sinister was also a solid movie. Not sure if it's out on DVD yet. In the meantime, we're like three months away from the Evil Dead remake.

Rec and Rec 2 are good, they've done a prequel too, but I haven't seen that yet. I second the recommendation for Triangle, just don't watch any trailers for it, major spoilers.

Rec is god-tier. And it's not really very scary, but I'd also Suggest 28 Days Later. Not 28 Weeks though, because that is bad.

What's Triangle about?

Group of people on a boat during a storm end boarding an empty cruise liner where strange things happen. Can't really go too much into the story or it'll spoil it.

Plus it has Melissa George in it, so that's a bonus.

That's a shame, because the best horror films are the old ones, but here is a few suggestions:

-Stake Land

-House of the Devil

-Macabre

-The Hills Have Eyes

-The Collector

-Martyrs

-Kill List

-Cabin in the Woods

-Inside

-The Orphanage

-V/H/S

-The Inkeepers

-28 Days Later

-Attack the Block

-[REC]

-[REC]2

-The Cabin in The Woods (not extremely scary, but I watched it for the 2nd time with my friends and they were legit scared)

-Sinister (pretty damn good, from the makers of Insideous)

-The Thing (1987), (2010 one is pretty good too)

-The Ring

-The Orphanage

-28 Days Later

-28 Weeks Later

-The Wicker Man (more disturbing)

-The Descent

-The Blair Witch Project

-Cloverfield (somewhat horror)

-The Hills Have Eyes

-An American Werewolf in london

-The Shining

-The Exorcist

-Alien

-V/H/S

-The House of The Devil

All I can think of off the top of my head.

Edit: thought of more:

-Grave Encounters (low budget movie, similar to Paranormal activity but actually scary, also available on netflix instant watch)

-The Woman in Black
