I'm honestly not sure, while I feel marijuana should definetly be legalized Tobacco and Alcohol are both huge industries, and banning one of them would be catastrophic.
However i suppose I would ban tobacco. It is deadly not only to the smokers, but to the people around them as well.
Well, take whatever taxation is currently in place on tobacco and place it on marijuana. There you go.I'm honestly not sure, while I feel marijuana should definetly be legalized Tobacco and Alcohol are both huge industries, and banning one of them would be catastrophic.

yes but the market would not be as big immediatly. People are still going to opt for the illegal tax free tobacco that the dealers still provide in the short term, it would take a while for the market to fully shift.
Banning alcohol is an absolute no go for me. I also like the occasional cigar. Not a fan of these strings.
between the two I'd ban cigarettes, but honestly I don't think I could actually do it considering the economy doesn't need another huge blow to the head. Plus given that weed grows mostly anywhere it wouldn't be as big of an industry.
Keep it illegal, of course.
No way in hell I'd ban alcohol, and the smell of cigarettes isn't nearly as bad as that of pot -- which is absolutely disgusting and incredibly pervasive.
Not to mention people who smoke pot regularly are often wastes of life.
you could still smoke from a hookahEven though I smoke hookah from time to time, I'd definitely ban tobacco,

I would ban tobacco lol. There is absolutely no point; the minor nicotine buzz you get is offset by the immediate and long-term health concerns.
And I've devoted my life to alcohol, so there is absolutely no way I'd think about banning alcohol.
Pot and alcohol...man that'd be nice.
[QUOTE="MetallicaKings"]Ban alcohol. It brings death, rape, sickness. Marajuana brings munchies, bliss, and stupid ideas about the meaning of life. Ill ban the formerworlock77
We (the US that is) tried banning alcohol in the 1920s. That didn't turn out so well.
and if it happened again, i will kill, rape, extort, and smuggle. Well, I'd at least smuggle...
I hear thatI would ban tobacco lol. There is absolutely no point; the minor nicotine buzz you get is offset by the immediate and long-term health concerns.

I'd do it in an instant. Both tobacco and alcohol are inherently more physical damaging than marijuana and THC... and don't have nearly as many physical and mental benefits as THC.
Ideally, I'd like to see all "controlled" substances fully legalized, because no one should have the right to tell another person what they can and cannot put in their bodies so long as it does not harm or infringe on the rights of others.
I hear that never done pot, but it does sound more my style than tobacco.[QUOTE="mrbojangles25"]

Man i'm willing to bet if i ban either one, the one that i choose will be a black market item anyways : P. I"ll just go with cigarettes and attempt to make a marijuana tax that replaces the lost revenue from cigarettes.
Leave it banned. Put effort into helping cure Mexico of Drug Cartels.
Heavier taxation of tobacco or stricter regulations also.

And since when were you the universal judge of worth? I can barely see ya up there on that high horse!! :( I'd also like to add that secondhand smoke from cigarettes is more pervasive and detrimental than secondhand smoke from pot. :) Breathing in secondhand smoke from cigarettes brings in all of the toxins and chemicals that the smoker is taking in, and as a general rule, people who smoke cigarettes smoke more frequently than people who smoke pot.Keep it illegal, of course.

Well you kinda need tobacco to mix with the weed anyway cause it doesn't really light all that well by itself so i dunno what i'd do, i love alcohol though no getting rid of that.angrules23Don't know who told you that little gem. I can assure you that this is not true. However I do think that you're thinking of something else. There's something that needs to be mixed in order to light but I can't remember it at this point in time

Alcohol tastes pretty bad too - it's practically the equivalent of drinking poison. :oCigarettes taste like crap and are the single greatest preventable cause of death.
Gonna go with cigarettes.

I don't know what amateurs you're hanging with, but you certainly do not need to mix weed with anything to get it to light.
Ban tobacco? Ban alcohol? Serious? Everyone drinks. Millions smoke. Ban either and it'll cause more problems then legalization can solve. I wouldn't legalize marijuana either because alcohol alone causes enough problems already, its just that we can't get rid of it because it's been around for thousands of years and has always been legal.
Haha, heck no i wouldn't legalize that crap.
I think that tobacco should be banned, alcohol, eh, not really. I still haven't been able to try wine yet!
Plus, the US already banned alcohol after The Great War which led to smuggling and one of the most known gangsters to run lose and kill many, but during the Great Depression, it got legalized. So if we ban it, its just gonna come back.
Clean and Proud.
