Scenario: Your country is under attack...

So OT, your country is under attack. Much like Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2. You see enemies fall from the sky, bullets fly back and forth, Neighbors and families being shot at and killed. You watch as everything you knew, love, and hate about your country crumble before you. You are now at the point in your life when you have to decide. Will I fight or will I run away?

Me? I stay and fight. I will pick up arms and destroy the enemy. I will protect what I love about my country. I will try to save my family and friends with all my might until either the enemy leaves this country or I leave this world.

So OT...What will you do?

I would do the same, keep my head down and stay indoors. We would probably surrender in a matter of minutes anyway.

Im not exactly an expert, but isn't most of the drug cartel warzone near the US border? If you were to go south far enough would you be fine?

I would end up fighting. I don't think me running away would help anyone, and if it was widespread I don't think it'd even help myself.

Well kid since you are USA citizen you must fear about invasion or attack on your country since you started this tread USA chosing another country on the world for resources and reason would be "We saints came to save you" I expirienced 2 wars in my life both of them US spyes started so they can come when all is done and build up base make mines exploit resources in the name of peace. I would run off and probbably i would try to steal something value from dead people or dieing ones

Since I am not trained in combat I would probably be shot in a matter of minutes, and then I wouldn't need to make a choice. I would try to fight back, but the scenario you described doesn't leave me to believe that I'll do much good.

I'd fight because I owe it to my country for giving me such rigorous combat training; Commander xXChillzXx, level 70 prestige rank, 1.4K/D ratio.

That depends on who's invading. Given that your scenario has a full military panoply, I'm going to assume it's a pretty powerful nation and hence I won't bother doing anything. Civilians can't fight for crap against trained soldiers so there wouldn't be any point resisting them until their force concentration gets low enough for guerilla attacks to work.

In all likelihood, I'd emigrate to whatever place is cheap and viable enough for me to settle down there.

I have been training on CoD. I have taken out several dangerous targets, blasted my way through hordes of guards, and have destroyed a rocket in takeoff with a missile.

I am ready to take on an army of any invader :P

Kick ass, and take names. Preferably with a rifle so I don't rub noses with the enemy.

If the home-country leadership did something horrible - explicitly by the home government, i'd probably pack my bags and leave, or if i can - stay low. Provided also that the invading army isn't coming to stay forever and isn't worse then the home-leadership.

If not, if it's gonna be invasion for any other reason, or the invader is unlike what i've described earlier.

Get family to safety, and aid resistance or join the national army if needed.

Never aid the invader, but i'm not going to help out homegrown evil either.

My interest for home country is never about the leadership, it's always about the people. my neighors and their kids, etc.

I say this for the two countries i love and call home. Saudi Arabia and the United States.

Am in Britian, i would not fight as i would not be much use, infact i would end up killing more of my own country men by mistake.

Help would not be far away from the rest of Europe so i would just bring whoever is alive nearby and go to the shed.
