So, I won't ask advice often on a game forum, but I am pretty bored. So high school is about to start again, share some fashion suggestions that might work for me. I am slim/defined/cut...135 pounds at 5'10". Please recommend something fashionable that would work for a guy (Yes, I am a male) my age (16 Years).

Currently I have a bunch of Abercrombie T-Shirts, slim (NOT Tight) jeans, and Adidas Sambas. This style kind of works well for me. I would like something similar to this style, but a bit different too, if that makes any sense.

Use your creative imagination, pictures are encouraged :D

P.S. Keep it sane...:P Also, I could care less about being popular, I just want some ideas on clothes that might look well on me.

*shrugs* I suggest keep it simple the first day, don't overdo it. Today, I just wore jeans, converse, and a black t-shirt.

Here's what you do, you wear something comfortable because being popular amongst a bunch of people you'll most likely never see again in 3-4 years is a waste of time.

Slim-fit jeans (dark blue, grey, black), plain T-shirts (American Apparel), decent shoes (nothing gaudy, no basketball shoes), some plaid button ups (H&M, Urbanoutfitters), maybe some plain colored V-necks if they work on you, and get some cardigans once fall starts. There you go.

It would help if you explained your style. For example I wouldn't recommend clothing that doesn't fit your personality IE abercrombie if you're more clean cut, hot topic if you're more rugged. It's all about what your personality style is.

I am slim/muscular...135 pounds at 5'10".NinjaDuckling

Sorry, but I have a hard time believing you're muscular at 5'10 135 pounds.. you're probably well defined but that's only because you have very little fat to begin with. To be well built at that body weight you're looking at 185-210 pounds. Anyways.. just an observation. I get frustrated by people who say they're muscular when they have extremely low body weights for their height. Like I said.. you may be well defined/cut.. but that doesn't mean you have a lot of muscle(muscular). It just means you don't have much body fat at all. My friend is 5'6 130 pounds and I wouldnt' call him muscular..

If you like Abercrombie, it is incredibly unlikely you'll like Hot Topic. They're on two completely opposite sides of the fashion wavelength: one prep/jock, the other punk/alternative.

Hence my use of them in an example. If you like abercrombie try its sister brand hollister, or its competitor American eagle, aeropostale also sells similar styles. Hollister sells the same stuff pretty much for about twenty bucks less per item than abercrombie

Cool, I like the casual/clean cut look myself so I've shopped at all those places before. You might want to get a new pair of shoes too to freshen up the whole look, don't wear all new clothes on the first day though, you don't want people to get their first impression of you with your best clothing. You'll never get compliments if you do it that way. Good luck man and happy shopping :)

geuss, nautica, polo, tommy, hollister, aeropostle, american eagle...and dare I say pacsun and the buckle....all them have similar clothing to abercrombie...my personal favorite is Polo and Nautica (nice clothes)...my suggestion would be get clothes that don't have the brand name plastered across the front of your shirt (hoodies are ok)....and the most important thing...shoes!! it's all about the kicks..

I think my current shoes work pretty well. I was planning on also getting these. Although, I am not really worried about shoes. Yeah, I am not doing this to show off or anything, my wardrobe just needs a revamping.

trust me when revamping a wardrobe...you'll need more than one pair of shoes...I have at least 20 pairs...otherwise you either wear similar clothes everyday that go with the one pair of shoes...or the shoes don't look right with what you're wearing...IMO

edit: I dig the Sambas..I have the same pair..

Onitsuka tigers are great looking but if you ever consider buying a pair make sure you get an insole, trust me from experience. They were made for tai chi so they aren't too padded. But a couple pairs for now is a great way to update our wardrobe. Contrary to popular belief twenty shoes is excessive for most people unless you have a fetish

Haha, yeah. 20 pairs is overkill I think. Unfortunately I do have a budget to go by, so we'll see how it goes. Thanks for the suggestions.

I don't know what your style is, but here's some ideas I guess. If you need pictures and cant understand what I mean, do tell.

http://lookbook.nu/ is a great site, if you're into that sort of thing. (gamespot bleeped out me using "s t y l e"..? sorry about that uh.. :/)

otherwise, here's some stuff that IMO is "in" for guys:

-Loose, straight leg jeans. The much improved lovechild of emo pants and slouchy gangsta jeans. By loose, I mean not form-fitting. They shouldn't fall off.

-Sweaters, cardigans. these don't look unmanly, or stupid when done right. Usually a thin sweater, V necks are the best IMO.

- I love V-neck shirts too. I bought my s/o one but he won't wear it because it's so thin, as soon as he gets cold you can see his nipples through it. But if you can find a thicker material, then go for it, they look nice (unless you have a bush of chest hair, but I'm assuming you don't)

-High-top shoes are making a comeback. Nike and adidas are making them too, so they don't look super feminine. solid black or dark grey with lighter accents go with everything.

- I know plaid is supposed to be in right now, but blech. I see plaid patterned shoes everywhere, even for men, and they look tacky and cheap.

-Simple prints are great, especially on shirts and hoodies. But please, dont wear patterned shirts and hoodies together, that just makes me sad when i see people do that. American apparel has amazing plain one-color hoodies.

-Vans and airwalk s t y l e canvas shoes are really nice for fall, not so much for winter. But if you don't mind wearing them only indoors for a few months, they're way worth buying.

-if you're in need of a bag for all your books, besides the messanger bag-s t y l e a cheap laptop bag will do the trick. The only rule here for guys is, if you want it to look masculine, make sure the strap is long enough to go over your shoulder, if you have to carry it on your elbow you'll likely get teased.

-If you need a belt, simple is much better than not. Plain black is perfect. No decals, no studs, no nothing.

All I can think of for now :3

haha maybe a slight fetish lol...I just like fresh shoes..but I also get a super discount from my cousin who works for eastbay...subscribe to them..it's free, and some of their clothes are nice as well..I have a ton of jordan stuff that would cost thousands of dollars in stores...

A pretty good solution is to wear a plain white tee shirt underneath the sweater, it hurts the v neck effect but he won't nip or have chest hair pouring out

A pretty good solution is to wear a plain white tee shirt underneath the sweater, it hurts the v neck effect but he won't nip or have chest hair pouring out

!! I don't mean wear both at the same time haha. I should have been more specific. V neck t shirts alone with chest hair puffing out remind me of my dad. from the late 80s. so no, lol, i wouldnt recommend THAT to anyone.

Go to school to learn, not to be fashionable.

Thank you for the lesson. I am very good in school, I don't need to worry about that. I just need to change my wardrobe is all...

Don't even ask me what to wear for back to school. I wear a navy polo shirt, khaki pants, and brown buffed shoes :P

Why do you need people's opinions on that? People have different styles...

A few suggestions wouldn't hurt. In the end I will make up my own mind, but it's okay to ask for a few different opinions.

I am in New Jersey. So it gets hot in the summer, cold in the winter. Normally the Winter weather does not affect what I wear. I don't wear shorts often and just wear a jacket in the colder months.
