No. That's a twisted interpretation. In terms of religions, it is all based upon belief. So far, nothing has been able to offer proof to the validity of any religion over another. Statistically, any religion now in existence, previously in existence, or to yet be created, could be correct. What we believe and what is the truth may be entirely different things. The Catholic church started pulling that crap CENTURIES after Christ was born. L. Ron Hubbard started it out of the gate. There's a difference between having your word twisted for the financial gain of others and establishing what is essentially a scam.

I suppose the big difference here is we know that a science fiction writer came up with it and he even said religion is a way to make money.

I dont know why some of you people compare scientology to other more established religions. THEY ARE COMPLETELY DIFFERENT. First off, the writer of other relgions didnt say people are so stupid they would pay me to make a religion then do it, the author didnt hate the thought of religion, you dont HAVE to pay for other religions, they ban certain people from joining the religion, they think WWI was caused by psychiatrists... other religions dont stalk their members or reporters of the press.
