Seafood, YAY or NAY?

Just a word of advice about oysters and clams and scallops. Those animals are NASTY. They are filter feeders, and a large proportion of what they have in them is poison and crap. That's what these animals DO. They FILTER all of the nasty stuff out of the water and put it in a little bag for YOU to eat. They are the septic tanks of the animal kingdom. And in fact, places that sell raw oysters are required to post warnings that basically say "if you eat this, you may die".

Furthermore, even lobsters, crabs, and shrimp are basically the cockroaches of the ocean. They are basically giant bugs that live in the sea. And like roaches, they also eat any nasty disgusting piece of garbage that they happen to find.

I love prawns and scallops, lobster not so much. Only tried crab once and it was ok. Haven't tried many types of fish, but I know I liked mackerel, salmon, rainbow trout and monkfish. cr4zychri5

I love lobster tail. In terms of the claws and legs, crab is much better.

Well that is why you don't eat them raw. Most plants are fertilized (or were until the 30s when they started using chemicals) with cow manure, and worm turds, but we still eat that, now don't we?Jacobistheman

Cooking will kill off bacteria. It doesn't remove any potential toxins in the food.
