Well, one of the biggest causes of trauma in multi-passenger cars is the projectile of a human being flying into you. It often causes serious injury when the accident may have otherwise not been that serious.
TBH, part of me agrees. You're not going to endanger anyone but yourself by being a fvcking idiot. I'd say there should be no law against not wearing a seatbelt or a helmet.
THIS SO HARD! Flying out of the car can disrupt traffic and make it an even bigger accident.Well, one of the biggest causes of trauma in multi-passenger cars is the projectile of a human being flying into you. Once again, OP proves how stupid he is. There's worse things out there than complaining about seatbelts.
[QUOTE="The_Zoid"]Is this guy for real right now?JML897
Hyperbolic title but I actually agree with his post. If people want to be idiots and not wear a seatbelt/helmet, let them.
If people want to be idiots and take precautionary safety measures that could possibly save their lives and other people's, they should be fined for it. It's such a non-issue to complain about.[QUOTE="konvikt_17"]
is it really that hard to put on a seatbelt?:?
it takes only a couple seconds.
JML897
Yeah but it's less comfortable :(
Drving isnt about comfortable, its about going places. And if you are too fat that it digs into belly, you should lose some weights.

Oh boo hoo.And how comfortable do you think it'll be if you're trapped in between your windshield slowly bleeding to death through massive internal injuries?
Back in the 90's when I first got my licsens it wasn't mandatory to wear your seatbelt. I was in 12 car accidents and not one of them was I wearing a seat belt. I never got hurt seriously. I think seatbelt laws are total BS. It's nothing but laws in favor of the insurance companies.
One accident I was T-boned by someone doing 50 mph. The cops gave the cars a score 1-5 5 being the worst. My car was a 5 the other drivers was a 4. My passanger door was smashed and 12 inches from leg in the drivers seat. Ever window in the car shatterd. The dashboard popped out and was in the back seat.
Another time I was on the freeway coming home late at night. I fell asleep at the wheel doing 70mph. When I woke up I was going off the road so I jerked the wheel. The car started spinning on dry pavement. I did 2 total 360's and went off the road. The car flipped over end once. I walked away with nothing but a few minor cuts from broken glass. I wasn't wearing a seat belt in this one either.
All the other accidents were minor. I was late for school and hit a coka cola truck. I rear ended a little old lady.
All of these accidents happend before I was 21. I was smoking a lot of pot when I was younger. The funny thing I'm 35 and haven't been in a accident since I quit smoking pot 14 years ago.

Insurance company BS?
Just because seat belts did not help you does not mean they are useless.
I'm guessing Zuma felt threatened by Lo_Pine's thread.
It's ok, sport, you are still a very special boy, Zuma.
12 accidents. Sounds like you're a pretty crappy driver, so it's no wonder why you think that NOT wearing seat belts is fine.Back in the 90's when I first got my licsens it wasn't mandatory to wear your seatbelt. okay so there's that click it or ticket law which forces people to put on their seat belt. WHY?!? it's MY life and MY risk so leave me aloneZumaJones07Not true. Seat belts keep people in their seats and prevent them from being thrown. If you are the driver, seat belts allow you to remain in your seat so you can steer the car to avoid a second collision, which would risk not only your life but the lives of your passengers and those in other vehicles.
Sure it may "violate rights" but the sole purpose is to save lives. No other hidden agenda unless you're a lunatic. How is that a bad thing?

Whine, my rights. Whine, my freedoms. Whine whine whine. If I were in change, you'd have no rights. You'd be forced to do everything.SolidSnake35Yeah. Too bad you're just another worker drone.
that would be silly. i always wear a seat belt and i'm an excellent driver. i just don't think i should get a ticket for forgetting to put it on if i wanna make a quick swing to the gas station a block away. For the love of humanity, please don't wear seat belts any longer, Zuma.

"Crime against humanity and liberty" is pushing it, but I agree to an extent. Seat belts are certainly a good thing and should be worn by everyone, but I don't see it as something that should be forced upon everyone. If some idiot doesn't want to wear a seat belt, why make him? I don't recall ever hearing of someone hurting anyone else due to not wearing a seat belt.

just because your an excellent driver does not mean you will never get in an accident.
pretty reasonable? Animatronic64i don't care about if it's reasonable or about any of that other science experiment stuff. it's bs to be ticketed for not wearing a seat belt plain and simple.

Well, ****, unless you have your own private road, you're going to have to agree with certain regulations. Look, I don't to be waiting at a stop light and have some jack ass who doesn't wear a seat belt get flung towards my car after some other jack ass decided to ram into him.
THEREFORE THEY CAN TELL YOU TO DO WHATEVER THEY WANT WHILE YOU USE THEM.Toxic-Seahorseah i see, just bend over. sorry man, i'm too enlightened to embrace that method of thought.
