Seeking help for a conversion

Ok long story short, I got a pain in the ass Calculus assignment. Yadda yadda yadda I calculated the volume of a simple water bottle to be 421 cubic square inches (a square inch is the measurement of one of the boxes on the graph paper where I sketched, revolved, and integrated half of the bottle...right?).

So now to check if my answer is correct, I have to compare the 421 cubic square inches to the measurement on the bottle which says ".5 L (1 PT, 0.9 FL OZ)." So I converted .5 L to cubic square inches and I got 1952 which is greater than 1 square foot. Obviously wrong. Because of this I'm pretty sure my error is in the conversion but for the life of me I can't see how. I used the conversions google gives. Thoughts?

Yes I got this too. Then convert that to cubic quarter inches (google says by multiplying by 64) and you get 1952 :?

And are you sure you're using the right conversion factor? If so, then I guess something happened with your measurements...

It has to be a problem in the conversions. If the problem were elsewhere, then you'd be saying that a simple water bottle could hold over 1 cubic foot of water. Here's what I did:

.5 L (what the bottle says) x 1000 mL/1 L x 1 cm^3/1ml = 500 cm^3

500 cm^3 x .0610 in^3 / 1 cm^3 = 30.5 in^3

30.5 in^3 x 64 sq. in ^3 / in^3 = 1952 sq in ^3
