Man i thought senior years were supposed to be fun but i think i am ruining my senior year. I made too difficult of a schedule for myself, even though i know plenty of people probably have harder schedules then me.

My Classes are BioChem, Ap Chem, Forensic Science, English IV, Applications of Computer Tech II, Ap Spanish, Ap Environmental science, Law in America, and Pyschology.

Almost every week or two i have a five page lab report due. My spanish teacher starts eight projects at a time. I have tons of homework a night. I have no life at all this year =(.

So anyways to end my rant and start a discussion, How was/is everyones senior year in high school?

Yet you still find time for GameSpot... :P My senior year was easy, I only had to go for one class and a study hall (which I completed any homework from that class in) each day, then I had the rest of the day to either be lazy or work.

It was definitely my most fun year of school, excluding college. I took two science classes for some reason, and they sucked. I made bad grades ,but my parents didn't really care, cause the senior year grades didn't really matter. I also just stayed home a lot just cause I wanted to, and my parents just let me.

I always found buckling down and getting everything done all at once before doing anything else left me with more time in the end. Maybe try to organize a gameplan to go at your schoolwork to get it done a little more efficiently then maybe you will find yourself at least a few hours at the end of each day to have some free time to do what you want.

Man good luck in calculus, i took Ap Calc my junior year, i got Cs which wasn't so bad but the only way i got Cs was because our teacher gave us homework completion grades. He did this because our class average was Ds and Es first quarter, i wasn't doing too hot lol. At the end of the year when the seniors left he basically gave up on teaching and let us watch movies. We got to watch Transformers and the Bourne Ultimatum =)

I dug myself into a hole as well, and with extracurriculars and college apps it got pretty intense, but if you budget you time and (as much as I hate saying it) stop playing video games, you;ll get through it all with a good grade.

Yeah, I had a bad procrastination problem and I was always doing things last minute and feeling rushed and stressed. It took a while to train myself to better study habits, but once I figured out I had more time to be lazy that way I stuck to it, because I definitly like to be lazy. :D

I am just a freshman in high school so this makes me a little worried but so far high school is great. I go to a small school though, only 250 kids. 45 are in my freshman class.

AP classes are such a bad idea. Someone should have told you. You know what happens when you take AP classes senior year? You either take them seriously and try hard and bust your ass all year, thus severely affecting the quality of your final year of high school...or you blow them off, and take the AP tests and pass some of them and fail some of them.

Then you get to college and get credit...great...so then they put you in Calc 2 instead of Calc 1, where unless you paid complete attention to Calc 1 during high school you are going to be lost as ****.

Well, this is my planned schedule for senior year (seeing as I'm a junior right now):

Band (most likely going for Honors).

AP Calculus BC.

AP Physics C (or AP Chemistry; I must decide).

AP English Literature.

AP Government / Whatever-level Economics.

AP Statistics.

And a gleaming exception from everything else:

One semester of Pre-AP World Geography, since in my old school, I was only taught one semester of it (the other semester was a different course, but that won't fly at my current school).

...And one semester of P.E.

That part of my senior schedule, at the least, should be pretty easy.

I know this may sound corny, but don't take this last year for granted, you should cherish in some way your last year of grade school. College is a much different world and high school can be part of the best times of your life while you're there.

What the hell? You guys had E's? Is that in between a D and a F?

Anyways, senior year for me was just like any other year of high school, lame. Same busywork, same pointless projects and homework assignments. At least I managed to finish with my straight A's all four years. Thankfully things are better in College so look forward to that.

I did the same thing and totally stacked my schedule with AP's thinking to hell with it because the colleges I was applying to didn't care about my GPA anymore as long as I didn't totally bomb lol. I took the following APs: Physics C, Calc AB, Econ (Micro and Macro), and Psychology. I would've taken AP Japanese too, but they started offering the test one year after I graduated lol. I spent a lot time with schoolwork, but I was used to it after so many similiar years in high school. It turns out that I got my highest GPA's in high school during senior year, mainly from the boost that came with so many weighted classes lol.

I'm in my senior year as well. First semester I have two open periods, but second semester I unfortunately have an open schedule. I had no control over when my off periods were, so that kind of sucked. I'm taking anatomy, AP English, chemistry, humanities, band, AP Psychology, Latin IV, and AP Econ. So far it's going okay, but I'm really stressed out right now....and I'm just ready to be done. I'm excited and nervous for college.

Yeah idk my sophmore year was a lot of work for me but my junior year i did have some hard classes but most of those classes did not give me much homework though. So i was not very stressed and i was used to coming home and having so much free time. Since i obtained a lot of laziness from my junior year, its hard for me to keep on track my senior year.

I made sure I was in the easiest classes I could possibly take during my senior year. Photography...ceramics...I think the only mistake I made was taking marine science. We had to dissect a different sea creature every week...and I didn't even need another science credit.

Senior year is extreamly overrated. I gave up durring th end of my junior year. I figured out that Highschool is not important, its only important because teachers, advisors progam students to think so.

*Shrugs.* I just had my first part of my skull quiz for anatomy, and got a perfect on it. I have 44 more things to test over it before we can move to the vertebral part of the body. We had to locate and name the parts of the skull, such as the vomer, ethmoid, sagittal suture, coronal suture, lambdoidal suture, perpendicular plate of the ethmoid bone, zygomatic process, mandibular condyle, etc. I also have to write a paper over the career I am considering. :?

My schedule is not nearly as bad:

IB Theory of Knowledge

IB French

IB Math Studies

IB World Literature

IB Biology

IB History of the Americas

Even though they're all IB courses, the work load is definitely manageable. I also have lunch and study hall everyday plus gym every other day.

[QUOTE="ayanami_rei"]*Shrugs.* I just had my first part of my skull quiz for anatomy, and got a perfect on it. :?mexicangordo
Yikes, what the heck are you taking?

Anatomy and College English IV, along with Advanced Math, World History, Art IV, and P.E. (only because they are making me again. :?) :P
