The better question is..what do gay gamers prefer to play? Do they try to act like they prefer God of War and really hide and play Viva Pinata all day? Do they appreciate Forza cause its a hell of a racing game, or do they like how you can 'design' your car, and match all the spring colors when May 1st hits? Who knows. I've never met a gay gamer. Every gay dude I've met tell me that the Xbox has too many buttons, and they would rather go shopping than play games. Serioulsy, I'm not playing or being ignorant....this is what gay dudes have said to me when it comes to gaming. kdt55

I'm a gay gamer, this is what I like:

RTS (warcraft III, command and conquer, supreme commander)
FPS (perfect dark, halo, half life 2)
RPG (final fantasy VIII, phantasy star 4, Lunar 2, Super Mario RPG)

Favorite games of all time are Metal Gear Solid 2, final fantasy 8, perfect dark, yoshi's island. I love platformers and really loved super mario galaxy.

I like online RTS competitive play as well as modding. I also like super smash brothers A LOT.

Actually, there's another interesting stereotype, that gay men are effeminate. And actually, that's only partly true. There is a large percentage of the gay population that is HYPER masculine. I really don't fit into either of those, and again, all my boyfriends have been inbetween. However, I have known some very effeminate gay men, so, don't get me wrong, they are out there. However... there are also some really masculine gay men who are really into a lot of 'macho' things.

Yes, that's quite true. I know a few masculine guys that are in to other guys.

There's one who's a labourer, loves football and beer.
Another one who's a security guard
I know of one who's a lawyer and plays football
Another I know is an engineer and loves cars

The thing is, they're straight acting so you'd never even know unless they told you. In fact, there's even a whole society of them that are against 'pink culture', or the stereotype that gay guys have to act effeminate and talk with lisps.
