I've been reading the manga since it began. One of my favorite ongoing manga.

The anime is great (and i mean great), but i don't like the opener.

Why on Earth would you want that? But anyway, TC, I'm watching it. It's good for what it is, and I'm glad it's not trying to be philosophical or DEEP or whatever. It's an action shounen that treats itself as it should, and I'm enjoying both the manga and the anime.

Didn't like the art but also didn't particularly like it otherwise.

Maybe if this was the 80s/90s I could agree but nowadays I say hell no. Have you watched current anime dubs? Nothing like they used to be. There's professional companies devoted to dubbing. What's so great about the japanese voices? Then again I always prefer watching anime in a language I understand. All the japanese voices sound too similar to me.

I can agree with this. Like, I prefer watching Cowboy Bebop or Deathnote dubbed rather than subbed but Shingeki No Kyojin seems to be only offered in subbed format. I'm fine with both but it might deter some audiences outside of Japan.

It's nothing particular about Japanese voice acting that I like, it's that (since I do not speak the language) I have a hard time telling when Japanese voice acting is bad so it doesn't tend to annoy me. Occasionally I have a character who I just think sounds cool in Japanese though. Haven't watched any current anime dubs because I usually watch the simulcasts.

Just heard about this the other day and saw a trailer... looks super cool. I'm going to have to start watching it soon even though I hate watching animes while they're still airing because than I have to wait each week or longer for another episode... I'm more of someone that finds and anime and watches it in almost one sitting... Almost done with Busou Renkin (Which is awesome) because I watched 20 episodes straight yesterday (Yes that is almost all I did saturday... other than drink some wonderful Kraken Rum)

I'm a fan, but I have read some of the manga and I have only watched the first episode of the anime.

Dubs sound way too similar to me since dubbing companies use the same few voice actors.

Deathnote, Black Lagoon, Steins;gate, Cowboy Bebop, Trigun, Samurai Champloo, Afro Samurai, FMA, Ghost In The Shell all have AMAZING dubs some are even better fitting of characters than the subbed. I think it's the attitude of "Oh dubs are so not authentic and are too stupid" that holds a lot of companies back from trying.

I mostly don't like dubs because they all sound the same to be in dubs and i really hate their general american accents. Only dub I like is Cowboy bebop and probably Digimon and DBZ.

I haven't watched many dubs in the last couple of years so I couldn't really say exactly. But one of the things that used to really put me off is the fact that even if they had good VAs they would sometimes change the story. I don't know how often this happens any more but it was quite annoying because it happened to 'kiddy' anime quite a lot. It's what turned me off dubs more than bad voice overs.

That really only happens by companies like 4Kids and other channels trying to show violent anime on kid channels. The only current censorship I can think of was in Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood where Greed was changed from hanging on a cross to a giant rock.

I've been reading the manga ever since that first promo of the show. The show itself has been great. I'm gonna take a break though during this part of the story and watch it all in one sitting once it's done. Shit's gonna hit the fan in these next couple of episodes.

Finished the manga (or what was released) and dropped the anime at episode 2.

I'll stick to the manga.

I've got to say, I'm really loving the Titans. Their design is creepy and the way they kill their victims is all frightening enough for you to worry for the safety of the characters but at they same time the effectively make you hate the Titans. However, I have a feeling that later on there's going to be a twist that says the Titans are all misunderstood.

Agreed. And to the people saying "Dubs reuse the same people!" well, the Japanese do it too. Kana Hanazawa had 32 different roles last year. I mean, I like her but damn....

Also, I have been watching it and its ok so far. But its probably going to turn out to be another Sword Art Online. People will hype up to all holy hell and then many of us will go into the show with an extremely critical eye as a result. I'll finish it and then be like, "Wtf? 'Best anime ever' my freaking foot" and end up hating the show way after I watched it.

I caught up with the manga just before the anime began, and it's one of my favorite "mature" mangas (right behind Berserk and Battle Royale).  Anime is pretty wicked as well.  The team is doing a good job with the pacing, and the animation is up there.

It does look promising. But I'll reserve judgement until I see more episodes. And I'm not hoping its gonna be the "best animu evar!!!11" like some people are toting it as.

If you read the manga and you would know you have nothing to worry about.

it just keeps getting better every chapter.

I didn't know this anime existed until a friend sent me this:

Now I am dying to see it.
