No, you're not right. It's good to see you being open-minded though:P

What this shows is that if anybody should have their guns taken away, it's the cops. How the hell do you hit 9 bystanders while trying to take down 1 person? That requires an unbelievable level of incompetence. It's actually hard to visualize how that could happen.

hartsickdiscipl

if criminals have guns, i would prefer cops have them too.

I would prefer citizens keep their right to carry them, so they can defend themselves. Criminals will always find a way to get weapons.

i agree completely.

Would be nice if the cops were given training too. Seriously I get it's a scary situation but shooting several bystanders isn't acceptable.

just you wait till David Icke says that happened, the you will believe.

lord knows you blindly follow everything else that man says.

I've watched maybe 1 David Icke video in my life.

so its just a coincidence most of your ideas(the ones I've seen anyway) coincide with his?

Maybe it's time for you guys to ban firearms? Couldn't make things a whole lot worse.

worlock77

And once firearms are banned what happens when the disgruntled employee deciceds to stab his former coworker? Do we ban knives then?

You make a very valid point, I mean we can easily go without knives, but how will we get about our daily routines without our guns?

It's possible. Icke's ideas aren't exactly unique amongst the tin-foil hat sector.

There are definite similarities, but he tends to go much more off the deep end from what I'm told. I'm not sure if he has access to more information than I do, or just extrapolates unnecessarily.

well criminals will not always find a way to get weapons, its not like drugs, where yu plant some seeds... it takes a major manufacturing plant... even the largest well funded organized crime rings in history never made their own guns.

its actually incredibly easy to stop criminals from getting guns.

EDIT: sorry but just one of those lies that really annoys me.

So, the other people who got shot were shot by the police? The cops tried to shoot one guy and ended up shooting, what, nine or ten others? That's extremely incompetent and I think they should get fired for it. Holy hell, I'd be more afraid of getting shot by the cops than by Mr. Crazy Pants in this situation.

It's not a lie. Take a look at Chicago and tell me that criminals won't find a way to get weapons if you outlaw them. That city has very strict gun laws and the worst gun violence in the country. The problem is this- even if the production of firearms were to be stopped in the US, people would get them through the borders from other countries. The people most likely to do that are criminals and members of organized crime syndicates.

I'm not going to bother with the rest of your dribble, but that bolded text is just plain wrong. al queda makes their own guns, the Hezbollah makes there own guns, the Taliban makes their own guns, hell even the old time mob made their own guns(note that these organizations guns were not all homemade just some of them).

people from countries that ban guns seem to have this asinine idea that guns are this marvelous form of super technology that only the best and brightest can build. well, as it turns out guns are extremely, and i mean extremely simple machines, any mechanically competent redneck, or some random guy with an internet conection can make a gun. Hell in the USA we have multiple tv shows about gun making, and let me tell you the people building them aren't exactly the smartest people you'll ever meet.

Why does everyone keep calling this a spree shooting, or making a big deal out of it when the man only went after one specific target?

htekemerald

Well, he shot 11 people....

Seems the police shot most of them...

I hadn't seen that snippet of info at the time of my post, and I retract that statement and replace it with a "how dafuq did that happen?"

because no one seems to want to pay for an actual trained police force.

Why that would require adequate levels of taxation, and everyone knows that's the first step on the path to Stalinist style communism.

I already have... Can't understand sarcasm?

Knives are used on a daily basis by pretty much everyone; whereas guns are not.
