Should America be split into two separate sister nations?

I'd be for splitting red counties from blue counties. Blue America could keep the entitlement programs. Red America could keep the military.

Ihope you're implying biast towards the eastern Roman Empire saying as the population of Greece, Mddle east, Egypt and modern day Turkey far excedes the western Roman Empire despite what the land mass area looks like.

But yeh when The Uk last had a split and the Republic ofIreland (Irish Free state at the time as it wasn't a republic) suceded it went unfavourily for all party's involved. And being serious It akes no sense for all the Islands in are penisula not to be one country.

Splitting us up obviously won't bring Americans closer together and we're all already hateful enough without politics playing a role into how many Americas there should be.

I understand all of you saying that we all need each other to remain the premier super power in the world. But I ask you all why? Why do we need to be the top dog? I would rather we have a progressive America that's still pretty wealthy but with more freedoms and opportunity's for its citizens to grow and innovate. Rather than be in a nation that has the biggest nukes but have to live with half of the population that doesn't believe in separation of church or undermines education. Yes, I know that not all conservatives are like this, but lets face it the majority of them are.

And by the way I'm not advocating that the US split. I'm just trying to get a conversation going...Something needs to change drastically in order for America to remain competitive in the coming centuries.
